A couple issues. I have a large Paraesophageal  hiatal and a small umbilical Hernia. The hiatal hernia can be life threatening if the abdomen pressure from a squat causes the entire stomach to move into the chest cavity. Also they didn't have a squat pad. I put 225 on the bar and got underneath it and remembered why people use squat pads. As such I opted to try the leg press machine instead. I ordered a body solid Manta Ray Squat attachment today. However I am not sure I should be doing heavy squats with 2 hernias regardless.  But going to try some lighter squats and see how it feels when the attachment shows up. Just because I have a hernia doesn't mean my legs are not strong. My legs are strong the leg press felt good. The squat bar did not feel great on my shoulders though so ordered the attachment will try next week.

I think the trick is for all out sprints is a slow warm up of a half to a mile slow jog.  Then a complete series of slowly increasing the speed. Say you are doing 10 x 40 yard sprints. The first five should be a gradual increase in speed till you hit top gear on set 5 or 6.  If you are in your 20's or 30's my advice might not apply.  In college I would jog a quarter mile then begin my sprint intervals from 330 yards down to 100 yards at 100% each set.  I'm really thinking of the someone in their late 40's, 50's and 60's. If I could sprint in my 70's I would be shocked.  A 10MPH is a six minute mile. That really isn't sprinting.

Sprinting is just a term I use for interval training when I use the max a treadmill has.

It's more just intervals than all out sprints.  In the past, I've had treadmills where I've been able to use 16mph, which I'd consider a sprint at my age, but can only use what I have access to.

Do knee wraps or a belt make someone a bitch as well because I don't use those when squatting but yeah I like my neck by all means be a Billy Badass and go crack your vertebrae and blow out a hernia squatting 405lbs without a pad or a spot or a belt

I thought you posted that you were healing from a hernia. Hernias don't heal on there own, did you have surgery or not?

What do you think squatting is going to do that you can not accomplish with other exercises? You know how many big squatters have shitty leg development? Its no all about how much you squat. I want to isolate and pump my quads not break my back and spine. Dorian didn't even do squats you fucking jackass Kali muscle does not do deadlifts yet Dorian had great legs and Kali has a great back. It's called bodybuilding not powerlifting. Your muscle absolutely gets stronger than your ligaments tendons and bones eventually you have to learn to preexhaust and use reps instead of just super heavy compound movements. But I ordered the attachment today. I looked for my old belt. I found the squat rack at the club. I did leg press. I am getting there don't you worry. But also fuck yes I have two fuckign hernias can I at least find my belt first

Actually guys I kind of understand bpussy’s problem and can relate to all of his bullshit excuses.

I was going to squat 405 today too.

I loaded the bar with the 45s, got ready, got underneath it, stood up and walked it out of the rack…

And did four sets of 10 reps at full depth.

So all I can say is he is the softest, weakest, 220 lb pansy to ever don the thong.
