You should put this on a shirt. So people know that unless they’ve been in a cage you don’t need to hear their opinion.
Bhanks has fought though. Twice.
And he lost twice. To no name nobodies. Not guys like Royce who went against world-class fighters.
Royce is the first generation of modern MMA fighters. We are in the third generation now and it's evolved to a very high level and is still evolving. As I mentioned before several times over the years, Royce was not the best of the Gracies. As far as with the immediate family competed he was the worse and least experience. Rorion brought Royce over to the U.S. when Royce was still a teenager and a Blue Belt to help Rorion teach classes. It's an inside joke within the family, actually, mostly from their cousins, The Machados, that it wasn't Rickson that was the most talented, it was
Royce went from Blue Belt to Black Belt, skipping Purple and Brown, which most spend years before at becoming a Black Belt.
I was training with the Machado's at the time when Royce was scheduled to fight Mark Kerr. Rorion, because his own school didn't have the top-level fighters, employed Rigan, along with the rest of the Machados, as well as Rico Rodriguez (who won the HeavyWeight title beating Randy Couture). Rorion needed Royce to have training partners that were big and skilled.
Rigan was ideal because not only was a big like Kerr, he rolled with him and always beat him. I saw this first hand. In his day, Rigan Machado, dominated and went nearly undefeated losing only once to his cousin, Rickson.
Anyway, as I was sitting around waiting for class to start the Rigan, Jean-Jacques, Rico walked in. They had just got done training Royce whose dojo was about 3 miles away. I asked Jean-Jacques how did it go. What's Royce's level and his chances against a monster like Kerr. Jean Jacques told me that if Royce was a student at this school, the Machados, he would be considered an advanced Purple Belt.
I say this not to bust on Royce but only to point out that even as a skinny, weak, non-athletic, mid-level BJJ artist, he could still fight, complete, and win on the world stage. The idea that the chicken-legged, Bhanks, could even hang with the likes of Sakuraba, Severn, and Shamrock is just beyond laughable. So that's what we do. We listen to Bhanks and we just laugh.
Bhanks, you're a clown. You exist on this board to be fun of. You're clueless and lack any sense of self-awareness making you so conceited and so full of yourself that you are the biggest joke on this board.
How else can someone post a pic like this and say they are making GAINZ!
