U watch anything on ESPN and there are hardly no white male commentators. U will see 3 or 4 black men with 2 black female. Now seriously how is this diversity. Where are the Hispanic or ppl of Oriental descent. Also watch commercials now days. If there are whites they are made to look dumb.

What I dislike about Pride Month….

1. Just like how gays don’t and shouldn’t care about my sexual preference or my sex life, I don’t care what their sexuality is or want to hear about their sex life and how they're proud of being a degenerate slut

2. Corporations latching on and doing whatever it takes to make a buck in the name of “diversity”. Yelp just sent out a mass message to me of how I should support Pride and Inclusivity at my local businesses. Why would I do that? Who gives a fuck about your personal life?

With an attempt at no axes to grind, I have been scratching my head and trying to figure all this out. When I was a youngster there were ZERO blacks on television (except for Amos and Andy). That was flat-out racism, no questioned asked as they were 10 to 15 percent of the population, then as now. But now it is WAY out of proportion in the other direction (with few Asians and Latinos comparatively as pointed out above). WHY? The corporate powers must have their money making reasons. Have white people pulled their cable plugs so network television is now more and more a black proposition in terms of viewership? Or are they catering to a younger “woke” population that flat out wants to see mega diversity thrown all over the place? It all seems somewhat unexplainable, I can’t believe Fortune 500 companies suddenly are doing all this out of the “kindness of their hearts.”

By the way, have you noticed the proportion of FAT PEOPLE on US TV? What is that all about?

To be fair, Asians, Arabs and Latinos have their own TV channels. Which are basically 100% based on race and there is no interest on balancing them out.

The "Prime" channels in America have always been viewed as mainstream, which would be perceived as "white", simply because America has been primarily white for a long time.

We gave them BET and some other black channels, but it's not enough.

They want to reverse discriminate in order to balance everything out.

Which is stupid and won't work.

I don't know... it's like they think hammering the populace with a certain message will make them yield over time. Some diversity ads have gotten strong backlash.
Like the one here. I think they are losing short term. They force blacks and homos on people hoping disgust will turn to love or at least acceptance. It's just hate of the white man, and what whites have stood for, their culture, and we know who is behind it.

It still doesn’t add up. It must be that most of the people spending the money somehow want to see this diversity flavor. Television programming and ad creation totally relate to profits. Few of the above comments address that, or something unexplained is going on. Are corporate executives sitting around saying, “oh let’s be “woke” rather than profitable?” Wouldn’t their shareholders tell them to take a hike if that were truly the case?

It must be the case that showing a lot of black people and fat people somehow equates to higher profits, but I admit I am as stumped as the next person as to why.

Target is a perfect example of the point I am trying to make. Target is ALL ABOUT PROFITS (and very successful at it). So they must associate all this stuff with higher profitability, which has GOT to have something to do with their end customers (or perhaps the employees they want to recruit). They are not doing this simply for the sake of doing it.

In China the government is requiring the social credits. Possibly you could make the argument that somehow Target may feel that our government wants them to do this. This could be a possible motivator but a big stretch.
