anyone else take cholesterol meds?
I got stuck on one called fenofibrate. Was fine, fine then fuk sakes muscle pain. At first i thought it was from the gym but it was my hands and everywhere, abnormal over the top muscle pain. Threw those fuckers in the garbage hope the pain clears up within a week. Easily adjust my eating to suit, I eat pretty well anyways. At 60 Id rather be pain free and if i stroke out or have a heart attack, well, I lasted longer than anyone expected

I got moved onto crestor, and the muscle pain was so bad, we discontinued it.  It went away shortly thereafter.

I've been on statins for 3 months and will undergo blood work on Friday to see if it's lowered my triglycerides and cholesterol. No issues at all! But doc started me with a low dosage to see how it went so if it's increased then maybe I'll see side effects. I've felt better and wife says I stopped snoring since I started taking them. I was very scared to take them since I read so many horror stories online but so far no issues.

Continuous statin use is associated with a decline in muscle function and mass over time (25% decline in grip strength and 73% decline in ALM compared to never-users), irrespective of genetic susceptibility to statin response.

start eating fish, veggies and fruits only and you will be good.

no saturated fatty products like dairy, cheese, chocolate and processed foods.

fact is if you want to reduce your bad cholesterol you need to swich to more of a mediterranean diet

my eating revolves around oatmeal, blueberries (mmmm), pea protein powder, lean meat, brown rice, mixed vegetables. tons of water, its so boring and I love it. My vice is diet coke, and a lot of it, Id choose death before quitting diet coke.
