all these religious assholes I know will pray for someone when they are sick or in an accident. I always want to ask them though, if the person dies any way what does that mean; that this supposed "god" didn't want them to live after all, I guess god hates a lot of people and wants them all to die. Believing in god makes about as much sense as santa claus, the easter bunny, etc.

The Law of attraction. God is a methaphore. If you don't understand the power of "prayer" you will fail in life and die a bitter C-u-n-t

Plain and simple.

Au Contraire. I'm winning every day and I have accumulated a lot for a guy my age. All I have has been aquired via mental conditioning and positive thinking or what is "prayer" for the simpler man.

Your wish is my command.

Senator Edwards is the biggest Christian on Earth (he said this)...and yet his wife is dying of cancer, and he is off banging men and women...and actually getting these women pregnant. God? Bible? NO THANKS. I'm cool. I'll just be real, admit that I commit TONS of sins, wrongs, etc., and I will take Hell, or what ever my eternal punishment will be...

When people made up god, they also thought the world was flat... we know so much more now and it amazes me that people still go out in herds every sunday to waste a few hours worshipping something that isn't real... c'mon guys... even worse is the ones that waste their entire lives going to bible school, becoming a priest/pastor/nun etc...

No. Sassenach is the term for an Englishman; True Adonis is an Englishman and thus a Sassenach.

That wouldn't make much sense wouldn't it?

I like you Adam but your pragmatism is making you bitter and unhappy.

From what I've heard you've been having a hard time lately. Things will turn around, just stay positve.

Don't you think there might be a little bit more to religion than all the negative sides you have listed thus far?

AHH YES!!! MONEY!!!

Since the dawn of religion they've been after money. The church is the most counter-productive, head in your ass, crooked thing someone can be involved in.

and it hurt my bad knees,,,

I used to be an altar boy.  Those priests really know how to push ya, do'nt they?

Seriously, I believe in prayer.  Something happened in 2nd grade and from that minute fwd, I KNEW the conversations I had with the maker (the power behind us, not a man in a beard and robe, but something more energy-based) changed external things in my environment consistently.

I had an eperience when i was very young myself which made me truly believ taht God exists.

I am a Roman Catholic, go to mass every week and every day of obligation.I turly believe that prayer can help. If it doesnt it often soothes and provides hope and faith. If we are wrong big dealk we have done no wrong. If we are right all the better.

Noone can do without God. At some stage you will realise this.

There are also too mnay miracles etc which cant be explained through science or anything else. Only god is the answer.

God is good, No need to go fundamental on him though just always try to have just a little faith
