ive never sat and watched andd episode of that thing even sometimes when ive just finished training.. and.. im eating and im tired and can barely move i always find the strength to switch the channel when that show comes on..

In all honesty I'm from Australia where the "N word" doesnt really come up, but it does seem to me to be very hypocritical of blacks to use the word N Word non stop and bar a white person from saying it.

Shame that there is a large proportion of blacks who want to wear the mantle of victimhood (Sharpton, Jackson, et al.) and a seemingly very small proportion who want to stand as equals (Steele, Cosby) who are usually called Uncle Toms. Dog actually does something positive with his life, catches dangerous criminals ( even pursuing a serial rapist into Mexico and bringing him back), does numerous charitable works including acts of kindness for inner city kids ( blacks mostly) and is a prime example of how someone can turn their life around if they put the time and effort into it ( he himself is a former criminal).
First off his sons girlfriend is mexican, not black. The rant was between him and his son, not something done in public or directed at black people as a whole. Who the fuck cares if he used the word black?

I didnt listen to the tape so I dont know how he tried to rationalize the N word but I do know that in Hawaii they use the N word all the time and no one there is black. I have to admit, it's pretty amusing how racism is alive and strong in America and how it's pretty much a learned trait. Also, stereotypes do exist for a reason. There are roughly 5x the number of black people in jail vs. whites. Now consider, there are 8x the number of white people in the US, than blacks...crazy. It's a symbol of pride for being raised in the south. it has only been used as a sign of hate by the KKK and "blacks". The "series" of confederate flags were the Souths "Battle" flags and many people today still use it as a symbol of pride for there heritage and ancestors who fought and died against the north.
It's no different than a man from New York wearing a NY baseball hat even though he doesn't follow baseball, just a symbol of pride. i know several people who wear certain things as a symbol of pride for where they were raised or what they believe in. i also know blacks who have confederate flag's on their trucks and they also have belt buckels with the flag on there.

It seems like a taught hatred or dislike, like any other learned behavior. The problem isn't disliking a group of people, because that is natural. The problem is never giving anyone in that group a chance because of their membership. Another problem though is that taught racism for blacks is seen as acceptable because of slavery but the current generation did not experience it. It's just as bad as racist whites.

You are correct that I shouldn't have said EVERY or ALL ...but MANY black people,even the ones who have NOT had any reason to say so...just like MANY white people are white trash racists...but not all of them. I have said on here before of a black man that works for me who has tried for several years to do a higher paying skilled trade job but he just can't do it. We have worked with him for three years and he just doesn't have the ability...SO he tells people at work that I am holding him back and that if he changed his skin then he would get the pay raise.THAT PISSES ME OFF!! It isn't his skin or me holding him back it is his inability to do the job ..Obviously just because HE is that way doesn't mean all african americans are that way..( he is the second person to work for me who used being black as an excuse for why they couldn't learn)I shouldn't have worded it that way....and the reference to the movie was just an illustration of how some people get angry about a stereotype all the while they are exactly like the stereotype.THAT WAS MY POINT!! You can't erase peoples feeling towards each other but we can erase the meanings of words by choosing to ignore them and act like civilized people. A certain amount of racism makes sense and was probably an evoloutionary protective mechanism. In that sense it is a lot harder to to mistreat/ignore someone who looks like you. Also, being able to spot phenotypical differences between tribes probably saved lives a long, long time ago.
All things being equal it's pretty silly to think someone who looks like you (in the modern age) has the same background, shared experiences and so on.
Personally, I don't restrict the "N" word to blacks. That would be racist. :)

Everybody has certain predjudices and is "racist" to a certain degree. I think it's just the way our mind works. We like to connect things, group people togheter and judging people on their looks is the most obvious and easiest thing to do.
I read that "Dog" has been using racial slurs for his whole life. Kinda funny considering one of his ex-wives (with whom he had three kids) is half mexican. I think this kind of racism gets passed from one generation to the other.
On the other hand, as long as he treats every black man with respect in public and treats them as equals i don't see why he should be punished so severely. It could be that he used the "n-word" just as a insult to specific black people he doesn't like. He could have called her a "bitch" or "ho" and nobody would have cared.
