The judge cleared the way and I'm driving up there to watch and/or crack some skulls if some of those racist saltine edomites step to the batter's box. Hundreds of white nationalists – and those who oppose them -- were expected for a “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Saturday after a federal judge’s ruling Friday cleared the way for the event.
The judge’s ruling sparked a pre-rally march Friday night on the University of Virginia campus, resulting in clashes between marchers, protesters and police.
The unrest prompted Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat, to place National Guard members on standby, and encourage Virginians to stay away from Saturday’s event.
“Men and women from state and local agencies will be in Charlottesville [on Saturday] to keep the public safe,” McAuliffe said in a statement, “and their job will be made easier if Virginians, no matter how well-meaning, elect to stay away from the areas where this rally will take place.”

After fights broke out, police dispersed the crowd, claiming it was an unlawful assembly, Richmond’s WTRV-TV reported.
Saturday’s event is scheduled for Emancipation Park after U.S. District Judge Glen Conrad issued a preliminary injunction in a lawsuit that right-wing blogger and rally organizer Jason Kessler filed against the city of Charlottesville.
Kessler wants to protest Charlottesville’s decision to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from Emancipation Park. He sued the city over free speech violations after the officials ordered the rally moved from Emancipation Park to a larger venue because of safety concerns.
In a statement, the city said it would honor the judge’s decision. Kessler is being represented in his case by the Rutherford Institute and the American Civil Liberties Union of Virginia.

I don't live in Chicago, I've never been to Chicago, and I have no plans to be in Chicago. I only go to Cleveland to visit my dad and brother and that's for a very short period of time. But yes, it is unfortunately sad and I'm doing everything I can to stop this but as long as there are people like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson around, we will never rise to the position we are suppose to be in. I cannot educate to those who refuse to listen.
This is why I'm glad this rally is taking place. This will hopefully motivate those to get involved.

I'll let you in on a little secret about gun-owners: The vast majority are too scared or would never pull the trigger on anyone, even in their own house. Mutual combat is being considered in a lot of cities to reduce cost of policing these events and property damage that usually runs in the millions. A 1 bd, 1 ba with 750 sq. ft. costs $2,100 a month in the Pearl. A 2 bd, 2 bath with 1700 sq ft in the south waterfront area runs $4,000 a month. I stick to my suburban 'white' enclave where my house payments are $1,500 a month for just under 3,000 sq. ft. :)
The last time my wife and I lived in L.A. - Granada Hills - we rented a smallest 3 bd, 2 ba home with around 1,400 sq ft. for probably pretty close to $200 a month. This was in in 1971. Everywhere we went we'd be in the car for over an hour because the north end of the valley was pretty much living out in the tulies.

If I attend a rally it's going to be a peaceful one geared towards senior concerns, such as not diverting funding for Medicare and Social Security to other places. No. The people who picket or demonstrate at these rallies have been living on taxpayer assistance programs their entire lives. People who are simply in between jobs and are actively looking wouldn't need the advice you're giving them in this statement because they wouldn't be at those rallies in the first place. They'd be up late sending resumes and trying their best to figure out how to pay rent and keep their kids fed.

I know a lot of them, and they don't believe in working for a living. They think everything should be free for everyone and borders should cease to exist. The black or police angle of these rallies doesn't matter to them. They basically live in vans or couch surf with people across the country and do this crap for a living. They're a low budget version of the Parisian student protesters in 1968.

So I've racked my pea brain to remember what, if any political or social rallies and parades I have attended. I've been on the Capital steps in Salem to help raise education/school funding awareness several times over the last couple of decades. My wife and I attended the annual AIDS Walk here in Portland. There was a small charge for participating as part of a group of friends and acquaintances, all of which was donated to "Our House" which is a support facility for people with HIV or the AIDS virus.

Proper training is expensive but worth it. And no, shooting paper targets (that don't shoot back) isn't proper training.
