What difference does it make?
It's NOT a death sentence like the MSM is making it out to be. Just a flu.
The mortality rate is not worth the destruction of the world economy.yeah that's what i say f$^k em. survival of the fittest.

Have a look at the stats for countries. Go back to 'yesterday' to see what is happening in each country.
Here in Australia there have been about 105 people die from the virus. Yet most state borders are closed.
There are still lots of restrictions in place here and compared to the US we don't have a huge problem.

To be fair, the seasonal flu is no joke either.
OP
The issue is the ability of the health care system to care for those that are ill and not be overwhelmed and not to force "elective" surgeries to be put on hold, herd immunity is a valid point for sure but it's difficult to say when to open what. People are often non compliant and there in is a huge issue. No wearing of masks, no social distancing etc, covid needs to be taken more seriously by us all."covid needs to be taken more seriously by us all." Really? A 3 month shutdown for something that kills less than 1% isn't enough? Should we shut everything down for the next year? Masks are going to do very little and social distancing are fine in public although I doubt it has the effect they are claiming.

How many have died on the highways in the same period? Guess it's time to close all the roads, lol
Oh bullshit. My daughter in law works in the local ER. Because of the hysterical Covid response elective surgeries as well as cancer treatments were put on hold for over two months. And where were all the Covid patients? Apparently at home because there weren't any in this city hospital (population 250K). Let's tally up the death count from those "other" diseases that were ignored. Meanwhile the hospital system has instituted layoffs due to the lack of revenue from lack of patients.
Covid is no worse than the seasonal flu. I know - I had it. Nothing more than a mild cough and fatigue for a week. Any flu will knock out a person with pre-existing conditions if they are severe enough. So will the common cold.
Yeah, we should just stay shutdown forever except for BLM. ::)
Live updates: Top U.S. health official estimates 10 undiagnosed coronavirus cases for each confirmed one
The number of Americans who have been infected with the novel coronavirus is likely 10 times higher than the number of cases reported, according to the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. In a call with reporters Thursday, CDC Director Robert Redfield said, "Our best estimate right now is that for every case that’s reported, there actually are 10 other infections.”
Redfield estimated that 92 to 95 percent of the U.S. population is still susceptible to the virus. He also said that young people are driving the recent surge in cases in parts of the South and West, a point Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) echoed in tweets about the increase of cases in his state.
Three states (Alabama, Nevada and Missouri) have reported new single-day case highs, and seven (Arizona, California, Florida, Missouri, Mississippi, Nevada and South Carolina) reached seven-day rolling average highs. But it does not appear, according to data reported through 2:45 p.m. ET, that the U.S. total would eclipse Wednesday’s record high of 38,173 cases.

The 3 most populous states are breaking coronavirus records, leading to fears of 'apocalyptic' surges
(CNN) The three most populous states set records for new coronavirus cases daily and there are fears of "apocalyptic" surges in major Texas cities if the trend continues.
Coronavirus has killed at least 121,979 people and infected nearly 2.4 million nationwide, according to Johns Hopkins.
Florida and Texas announced Wednesday that they'd recorded more than 5,000 new Covid-19 cases the prior day, a new daily record. California reported more than 7,000 cases, obliterating a record hit a day earlier.

U.S. hits highest single day of new coronavirus cases with more than 45,500, breaking April record
The grim milestone reported Wednesday surpasses the peak hit in late April.
The U.S. saw a record number of new coronavirus cases in a single day, with 45,557 diagnoses reported Wednesday, according to a tally by NBC News.
Wednesday's cases top the previous highest daily count from April 26 — during the first peak of the pandemic in the U.S. — by more than 9,000 cases, according to NBC News' tracking data. The World Health Organization reported its single-day record on Sunday, with more than 183,000 new cases worldwide.
Health experts said Monday that the resurgence in cases in Southern and Western states can be traced to Memorial Day, when many officials began loosening lockdowns and reopening businesses.
The Northeast has reported significant decreases in cases as authorities have maintained policies about social distancing and wearing masks.
Visitors who travel from U.S. hot spots who arrive in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut will be asked to quarantine for two weeks, their governors announced Wednesday.
Unfortunately, as many states struggle to contain the virus after having prematurely loosened restrictions, hospitals are becoming overwhelmed by patients.
Live updates: U.S. sets another single-day record for coronavirus cases
Across the United States, almost 38,500 new coronavirus infections were reported by state health departments by Thursday evening — surpassing the previous single-day record of 38,115, which was set on Wednesday. Texas, Alabama, Missouri and Nevada reported daily highs. The death toll also spiked, to about 2,500, as New Jersey added 1,854 probable deaths to its overall tally.
Texas reported 5,996 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, beating Wednesday’s record of 5,551. The state’s rolling average of 4,581 was a record and 340 percent higher than the rolling average on Memorial Day. The 47 new deaths were the most since May 20, according to tracking by The Washington Post.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) raised alarms about the biggest jump in new cases in his state since April, emphasizing that more than increased testing is at play.

Real mortality will end around the same as the flu.... Maybe 0.2-0.3%, I've been saying this for four months on here.

Armyofdumb and the "just flu" bros were both wrong.
It is a serious thing to be sure. Perhaps, up there with the 1957-1958 Asian flu pandemic, during the Eisenhower administration.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1957–1958_influenza_pandemic (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1957–1958_influenza_pandemic)
"About 70,000 to 116,000 people died in the United States......"
Note ,though, the current US populations of is around 320 million - about 80% higher than that in 1957-58 (180 million).
"The [Asian Flu] virus was most deadly in pregnant women, the elderly, and those with pre-existing heart and lung disease"
Also, I believe the COVID-19 pandemic is nowhere near as deadly among pregnant women ,otherwise I suspect we'd all be hearing about it...
Still, particularly at-risk groups should've been told to stay at home and eat soup until this blew over ,with the government helping with their finances.
Seriously, what more could the public reasonably ask for , in the absence of an effective vaccine or treatment?
In Europe it's tracking very similarly to the 1968-Hong Kong flu pandemic. Again the key word in both cases is Pandemic !
I think the only pregnant women deemed at risk from cov19 are those with pre-existing heart conditions, otherwise there hasn't been an issue with them.

Good idea. Stick to the memes. Less chance of you exposing yourself as an imbecile.
China really did a number on Americans.
That stands to reason ,given mainland Europe - on the whole- did not suffer weeks of media sanctioned rioting, looting ,vandalism and lawlessness (during a pandemic no less) .
So, I guess we will see the US start catching up with Europe's per capita figures in due course.

0.3 is not around the same 0.1
300,000 dead is not around the same as 100,000 dead.
The toilet paper panic must be scrambling your brain or something cos you're pretty close to going full retard.
Seeing as we are both quoting a PERCENT mortality rate then I would say yes it is "around" the same....
0.1% for flu, in my post I stated 0.2-0.3. % for Coronavirus,
That's approx one death for every thousand infections for flu.... And two to three deaths every thousand for coronavirus, that's "around" the same mortality rate.
You can't even win when trying to argue semantics. Sad.
Do you tell your girlfriend the same thing? Your 3" cock is around the same as a 9" cock?

According to Prof Walter Ricciardi, scientific adviser to Italy’s minister of health, the country’s mortality rate is far higher due to demographics - the nation has the second oldest population worldwide - and the manner in which hospitals record deaths.
“The way in which we code deaths in our country is very generous in the sense that all the people who die in hospitals with the coronavirus are deemed to be dying of the coronavirus
“On re-evaluation by the National Institute of Health, only 12 per cent of death certificates have shown a direct causality from coronavirus, while 88 per cent of patients who have died have at least one pre-morbidity - many had two or three,” he says.

Keep trying to convince yourself that you are somehow immune and that should you get the virus you have little or no possibility of dying from it. Hopefully, these won't become your famous last words should you contract COVID-19.

PLANTATION, Fla. – In a period of ten days, Jackson Health System in Miami has doubled the number of patients they have seen coming through their doors.
Carlos A. Migoya, president and CEO of Jackson Health System, says there are some challenges.
“A lot of these people are younger and about 40 percent of them are coming in to Jackson for other reasons,” Migoya said. “They’ve ended up in a car accident or other things, and as we test every patient that comes in, we have found them to be (COVID-19) positive. So they are not necessarily as sick as some of the other ones and many of them are asymptomatic.”

Stop with the font size shit bro.
And stop going on like Armyofdumb
The more infections right now the better as you don't want another peak in a few months. You'll get closer to developing herd immunity and more infections mean more chances of gene deletions when the virus replicates. This will make the virus milder and eventually it will disappear or become a strain of the 'common cold'.
U.S. coronavirus cases surge by more than 45,000 as states roll back reopenings
The U.S. reported more than 45,000 cases of coronavirus on Friday, a record breaking increase, as some of the hardest-hit states begin to pause or roll back their reopening plans, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
There were 45,255 additional Covid-19 cases reported across the nation on Friday, bringing the total to more than 2.46 million cases, according to Johns Hopkins data. As of Friday, the U.S.' seven-day average of new cases increased more than 41% compared with a week ago.[/size]

Exactly. It's hilarious seeing the Getbiggers from poor countries bash the US when the actual reason is what you just said above, LOL.
Australia is also broke as a joke, and not testing people unless they show severe symptoms, lol. Like here in Canada [also broke as a joke].
Apparently if you don't test people for COVID-19, the number of people reported to have COVID-19 is lower. WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED?!

So, when you guys say Covid is just a flu, you mean it's nothing or that it's bad? ???
COVID-19 is a virus. All influenza's are viruses. Saying COVID-19 is just a flu is redundant. Not all viruses/influenza's are equal. Some strains of the flu virus are worse, as in more deadly and contagious, than others. It has been suggested that viruses are one step ahead of any vaccine against them meaning they mutate faster than we can develop vaccines. Had there been a vaccine available early on against COVID-19 more than half a million might still be alive and some percentage of 10.2 million people would feel healthier today.
WHO warns coronavirus pandemic is speeding up as countries ease lockdown rules: 'The worst is yet to come'
The coronavirus pandemic is accelerating around the world as many countries that reopened their economies see a resurgence in Covid-19 cases, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the World Health Organization, said Monday.
"Although many countries have made some progress, globally, the pandemic is actually speeding up," he said during a virtual news conference from the agency's Geneva headquarters. "We all want this to be over. We all want to get on with our lives, but the hard reality is that this is not even close to being over."
May the Mr Olympia still be in danger in december?
More testing equals more cases. Many of these new cases the people didn't even know they had it. The number that matters is hospitalization and deaths. Those are rising in just a limited amount of concentrated areas. The majority is going down. Can't wait till November 3rd when this crisis is over and people can get back to work. I also want the $900 buck per week unemployment to end so these young people causing chaos will be forced to work instead of hanging out.

Live updates: Reopening grinds to a halt as coronavirus hospitalizations surge in Sun Belt states
As novel coronavirus cases continue to surge across the Sun Belt, the optimism surrounding ambitious reopening plans is swiftly dissipating. Arizona delayed plans to reopen public schools and ordered bars, gyms, movie theaters and water parks to close on Monday, as the state marked yet another day of record hospitalizations. In Los Angeles County, which is at risk of running out of hospital beds in the next two to three weeks, residents are being urged to “hunker down” in their homes and avoid all unnecessary trips.
Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious-disease expert, is set to testify Tuesday alongside other senior officials before the Senate’s health committee. A surge in new infections has jeopardized some school reopening plans. Prominent conservatives including Scott Gottlieb, a former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, have called on schools to open their doors, even as case numbers rise in more than half the states. If schools and child-care centers do not reopen in the fall, American workers could face a child-care crisis.
Nearly 10.3 million coronavirus cases have been detected worldwide, with roughly 2.6 million infections reported in the United States. At least 124,000 people have died of covid-19 in the United States, and the global death count is hovering near 505,000.

Dr. Anthony Fauci says U.S. coronavirus outbreak is ‘going to be very disturbing,’ could top 100,000 new cases a day
The U.S. is “not in total control” of the coronavirus pandemic and daily new cases could surpass 100,000 new infections per day if the outbreak continues at its current pace, White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said Tuesday.
The country is now reporting nearly 40,000 new coronavirus cases every day — almost double from about 22,800 in mid-May — driven largely by outbreaks in a number of states across the South and West. Fauci said about 50% of all new cases are coming from four states: Florida, California, Texas and Arizona.
“I can’t make an accurate prediction but it’s going to be very disturbing,” Fauci told senators in a hearing held by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. “We are now having 40-plus-thousand new cases a day. I would not be surprised if we go up to 100,000 a day if this does not turn around, and so I am very concerned.”
The number of new cases reported each day in the U.S. is now outpacing April, when the virus rocked Washington state and parts of the Northeast, especially the New York City metropolitan area.
The U.S. averaged 39,750 new cases per day over the past seven days as of Monday, according to a CNBC analysis of data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. That average has risen by more than 40% compared with a week ago. As of Tuesday morning, the seven-day average of daily new cases reported rose by more than 5% week over week in 40 states, according to the data.
Most likely..... Unless they move it to Rhode Island. The only state In the country where people Still wears mask , keep the distance and the virus is practically gone.

Exactly.
How do you know you are being lied to? What would be the motive for lying about this?
Hit the rewind button on this, go back to the halcyon days of Feb and March. Go check the numbers, the projections etc. All turned out to be false and wrong by apocalyptic margins. But, even though now we know that....the "Health Experts" still want the general public to burn down civilized society to "beat" the virus even as the data and reality show that it isn't nearly as dangerous as we were once told, not nearly as communicable. Like they are holding on to the reigns of power and influence for as long as possible and trying to wreck as much chaos as possible before the gig is up. Well, it's up.
Also....Mass riots are fine for Covid, totally safe and no big deal! A few people in church or someone cutting hair or a guy in a Wal Mart without his mask on (another lie) is totally bad and we need to all go to our rooms again and be grounded for another 3 months.
This shit is beyond parody.
By the way....why weren't "Health Experts" warning mass gatherings of rioters, looters, protesters etc, that were all over the the nation and globally, to take the pandemic seriously? They didn't, they blamed COVID on racism and put Covid Fear Theater on pause. Now they unpaused it and we should all go hide under our beds until the virus goes away.
This shit is beyond parody.
Live updates: Daily number of new coronavirus cases in U.S. tops 50,000 for first time
The United States reported 52,789 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, the largest single-day total since the start of the pandemic. President Trump speculated in a Fox Business interview that the virus was “going to sort of just disappear” at some point.
Experts say that is unlikely, unless an overwhelming majority of people are infected and develop immunity, which could lead to millions of deaths, or through the successful development and deployment of a vaccine. There is a good chance the coronavirus will never go away, some experts have warned.
Across the country, states are casting aside plans for a gradual return to normalcy, with California, Michigan and New York City the latest to rethink some aspects of reopening.
More than 800,000 new coronavirus cases were detected in the United States in June, many of them in Sun Belt states that were quick to reopen. At least 125,602 deaths have been reported since the start of the pandemic.
More good news!Same guy who said it will be over by easter, like a miracle?
Looks like Trump is right again.
As I have said before, Newsom is blaming family gatherings, parties - when he should enforce the rules and stop all forms of gathering, including protesting. It is no coincidence that the spikes in countries are going up 10 days after the protests.... really? 20,000 people together, and what did you think would happen?
After protesting, they move back to their families, their friends, and so on....
You really want to stop it, stop all gatherings out there over 10 people and maybe you can stop it
Shutting down dine in restaurants does nothing. Bars are different

The 7-day moving average of Covid deaths has fallen today to 560, a drop of 21 from yesterday, and 68 fewer than a week ago. Yet we continue to hear nothing but predictable fear and loathing from media scriptreaders.

It's not "my logic."
It's just the facts.
Terrifying. It really is concerning, especially having that orange imbecile as a president.
Really? Just because you're a woman does not mean you cannot think instead of "feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeeeel".I am thinking. And thank you for acknowledging that I am not stupid. I like you and will not turn this into a back and forth thing. Please stay safe.
President Trump is the finest President of my Nation in my several decades of existence. I think well enough of you that I am going to be polite as regards your childish statement about President Trump.
Go intercourse yourself.
You are not stupid so quit playing that role. Unless of course you really are stupid. The ball's in your court. You can either return it as Margaret Court would or take it and waddle home.
I like Australia. I LOVE America.
Gotta disagree with you here. As a rock.

Study confirms new version of coronavirus spreads faster, but doesn't make people sickerYes I read about this earlier today. It could explain the rapid acceleration.
CNN) A global study has found strong evidence that a new form of the coronavirus has spread from Europe to the US. The new mutation makes the virus more likely to infect people but does not seem to make them any sicker than earlier variations of the virus, an international team of researchers reported Thursday.
"It is now the dominant form infecting people," Erica Ollmann Saphire of the La Jolla Institute for Immunology and the Coronavirus Immunotherapy Consortium, who worked on the study, told CNN.
"This is now the virus."

U.S. coronavirus cases soar by more than 50,600 in record single-day jump
The U.S. reported more than 50,600 additional coronavirus cases on Wednesday, the largest single-day increase since the beginning of the outbreak, according to Johns Hopkins University data.
Cases were growing by 5% or more, based on the change in average new cases compared with last week, in 40 states across the country, including California, Florida, Louisiana, Texas and Nevada, according to a CNBC analysis of data compiled by Johns Hopkins.
The record-breaking increase in new coronavirus cases continues to push the U.S. farther beyond what some previously thought was its peak earlier this year.
As of Wednesday, the U.S. reported an average of 43,404 new cases, marking a week that the average has exceeded previous highs set in April. CNBC calculates its daily Covid-19 cases using data compiled by Johns Hopkins University based on an average over the previous seven days to eliminate fluctuations in daily reporting.
Arizona reported a record spike in new cases and deaths on Wednesday, recording nearly 4,900 new coronavirus cases and at least 80 new deaths, according to the Hopkins data. Arizona’s intensive care units were at 89% capacity as of Tuesday, according to the state’s health department.
Gov. Doug Ducey rolled back the state’s reopening plan Monday, closing bars, gyms, movie theaters and water parks. The state has since reported a surge in its positivity rate, or the percentage of total tests that are positive, from a low of 4.9% in May to 20.1% in June, he said when announcing the rollback.
“We can’t be under any illusion that this virus is going to go away on its own. Our expectation is that next week our numbers will be worse. It will take several weeks for the mitigation that we have put in place and are putting in place to take effect,” Ducey said.
Things not looking good for USA, Brazil, India and Mexico. Other countries should be worried as well.
Chart is from 2 days ago.
Worried about what, exactly?
Almost 40 million tests, so what is to be "worried" about?
I knew it. Anybody with a compromised immune system will test positive:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/testing/serology-overview.html
Common question
What do your results mean if you test positive for antibodies for the coronavirus disease?
A positive test result shows you may have antibodies from an infection with the virus that causes COVID-19, or possibly from infection with a related virus from the same family of viruses (called coronavirus), such as one that causes the common cold.
CNN: If the United States were my patient: We aren't ready to celebrate yet
(CNN)Back in the middle of May, I wrote an essay titled "If the United States were my patient," pondering what it would be like if the United States were a flesh-and-blood person who had gotten sick with an ongoing infection.
Seven weeks later, as we approach the patient's birthday -- July 4th -- I thought it would be a good time to check in and see how the patient's doing.
It turns out the answer is: not well at all.
In fact, with daily infection rates breaking records on many days during the last couple of weeks, we are arguably worse off today than at any point earlier in the pandemic. Consider: This week, 15 states saw their highest seven-day averages, and the country is seeing around 50,000 new cases a day. We have less than 5% of the global population, but about 25% of coronavirus cases and deaths. Several states, including Texas and Arizona, are on the verge of having recently infected patients overwhelm hospital capacity.

Live updates: Elected officials blame rush to reopen as coronavirus cases hit record for 27th day
With the number of novel coronavirus cases soaring in the United States, many elected officials are beginning to acknowledge that rushing to reopen was a mistake. Alarming indicators continued to mount over the Fourth of July weekend, with the rolling seven-day average for daily new cases hitting a record high for the 27th day in a row on Sunday.
“We’re right back where we were at the peak of the epidemic during the New York outbreak,” former Food and Drug Administration commissioner Scott Gottlieb said Sunday, during an interview with “Face the Nation” on CBS.
Nearly 2.9 million coronavirus cases have been reported nationwide. At least 127,000 people have died of the virus in the United States.

Live updates: Coronavirus hospitalizations skyrocket across Sun Belt as Fauci warns nation is ‘still knee deep in the first wave’
Hospitals across the Sun Belt continue to be inundated with coronavirus patients, with Arizona reaching 89 percent capacity for ICU beds on Monday, as Alabama, California, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas also reported unprecedented numbers of hospitalizations. For the 28th day in a row, the country’s rolling seven-day average of daily new cases shattered all previous records, though the number of deaths nationwide has remained relatively stable.
The United States is “still knee deep in the first wave” of the coronavirus outbreak, Anthony S. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Monday. Unlike Europe, “we never came down to baseline and now are surging back up.”
At least 2,926,000 coronavirus cases and 127,000 deaths have been reported nationwide since February. The Trump administration hopes that Americans will grow inured to the growing death toll and accept the tens of thousands of new cases being reported each day as the new reality, three people familiar with the White House’s thinking told The Washington Post. They spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.

Coronavirus Live Updates: Death Tolls Rise in Some U.S. States, Signaling a Possible End to the National Decline
The death toll is edging up in several states, possibly ending months of declining national death totals.
The U.S.’s daily number of deaths from the coronavirus has risen recently in some of the nation’s most populous states, signaling a possible end to months of declining death totals nationally.
In Texas, officials announced 119 deaths on Wednesday, surpassing a daily record for deaths in the pandemic that the state had set only a day earlier. In Arizona, more than 200 deaths have been announced already this week, and the daily virus death toll in the state reached higher than ever. Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Dakota and Tennessee also set single-day death records this week.
The seven-day death average in the United States reached 608 on Thursday, up from 471 earlier in July, but still a fraction of the more than 2,200 deaths the country averaged each day in mid-April, when the situation in the Northeast was at its worst.
While this is not fake news, it demonstrates how easily misrepresentation is. Following the onset of the COVID-19 symptoms he experienced two monthsago, Dr. Fair tested negative for the COVID-19 antibodies. This report implies he lied about having COVID-19. Fact is he suffered the symptoms of the virus and was even hospitalized for awhile. It is easy to understand how he concluded he had the disease.
Form his Twitter account:
Dr. Joseph Fair @curefinder
Jul 7
"My undiagnosed/suspected COVID illness from nearly 2 months ago remains an undiagnosed mystery as a recent antibody test was negative. I had myriad COVID symptoms, was hospitalized in a COVID ward & treated for COVID-related co-morbidities, despite testing negative by nasal swab."
Two of Rory's parents made appointments for COVID19 but decided not to go.
They received positive COVID19 test results in the mail.
How many parents does Rory have?
I meant two relatives.
SF1900 suffered worse Covid-19 than "Dr." "Fair" considering the "doctor" never tested positive for the disease. His doctors assumed he had Covid-19. A reasonable person would wonder how many others are assumed to have the disease considering "Fair" is relatively high profile and should have been more responsible and had more and/or better oversight.
Peanuts. No one cares. Do you know how many people die per day on the US?
I suffered tremendously!
I'm on your side and have zero tolerance for the illegitimately diagnosed stealing your thunder.
Does anyone here personally know anyone (under the age of 75) that has died from this?...I do, my friend Tommy died of it back in mid Apr but he also had major underlying health issues that compromised his immune system. Think he was just about 62/63.
I don't.
Yeah, shit, at least I was diagnosed with it.
The good doctors was not even diagnosed! Stealing my suffering!

Out of the close to 1,000 ppl I work with, altho I don't know nor speak to all of them, the ones I do work daily with don't know a single person who's had it. A few ppl I speak to online have had family members die of illnesses like major heart disease or cancer and on their death certs it's listed as, you guessed it, covid19, which further proves these numbers the media comes up with are either fabricated or highly embellished to further push this "pandemic" on the masses.
Not saying there is no covid but the thing is being played out to someone's benefit. There's no way a country like China that's been eating every type of animal for centuries and a month or so before this whole thing blew up there were dozens of videos of ppl eating bats in China, then all of a sudden corona comes out and linked directly to eating bats...it's bs.

First Seattle volunteer in human COVID-19 vaccine trials says she feels 'fantastic'16 weeks?? LOL
by Suzanne Phan
The race to develop a COVID-19 vaccine is heating up globally and right here in our area. In Seattle, we’ve got a lot of companies and volunteers doing their part to try and help.
“It’s been 16 weeks since I had the first dose," said Jennifer Haller of Ballard. "I feel fantastic."
On March 16, Haller, a 43-year-old a tech startup operations manager, became the first person in the country to get injected with the experimental COVID-19 vaccine.
It’s developed by bio-tech company Moderna and National Institutes of Health.
“This vaccine uses messenger RNA," Haller said.

Do you have any idea who that someone who benefits from overstating the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths would be and how they'd benefit? The media thrives on big stories. But they are also fact checked all the time. If the news media is fabricating or embellishing the numbers, they'd eventually be exposed for doing so. Push the pandemic? What the heck does that mean?

Well, looks like close to 400 testing centers were having their testing totals reported as 90% positive tests when they were actually closer to 9%.It gets more ridiculous everyday.
That's a pretty big miss! Looks like Florida's "spike" isn't so.
Kept hearing about people now showing up for tests and then getting a positive result back. Wasn't sure what to believe bc everyone had a friend and I didn't have any 1st person knowledge of that going on down here in FL. More testing = more positive tests.
How many negative test results?
How's the death rate looking?
We are around the level where the CDC no longer calls this an epidemic.
Running out of hospital beds in many hard hit areas. Square that circle for me.
Elective surgery was not allowed for three months. When the restrictions were lifted there was a backlog of patients. Everyone who goes to a hospital gets tested for COVID.Good catch.
Moreover, the so-called hard hit areas experienced a heat wave in the past few weeks with temps over 100. You’re going to get an increase in the heat related illnesses. You’d think no one ever got sick prior to 2020.
CDC was/is also combining antibody tests with standard PCR tests.....thus inflating numbers. Several other areas of the nation were caught doing this as well.
And why can't we get actual numbers on who is in the ICU's and what they are in the ICU for?
Health experts urge Americans to wear masks and take other precautions as coronavirus cases continue to climb
More than 150,000 people are now projected to die of Covid-19 by August 8 -- and though the US knows how to fight the virus, a health expert warns the battle is not going in the country's favor.
"We're certainly not winning the battle against coronavirus," Dr. Francis Collins, the director of the National Institutes of Health, told CNN's Wolf Blitzer Friday.
Currently, more than 3.6 million people in the country have been infected with the virus and 139,266 people have died, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. By August 8, an ensemble forecast published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention projects that the death toll will exceed 157,000. The previous forecast, published July 9, projected roughly 147,000 coronavirus deaths by August 1.
"The jurisdictions with the greatest likelihood of a larger number of deaths include: Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Montana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, the Virgin Islands, and West Virginia," the CDC said on its forecasting website.
In Florida, Broward County is curtailing parties and social gatherings by implementing a nightly curfew, Mayor Dale Holness told reporters. He cited climbing cases, hospitalizations, and diminishing ICU availability as motivation for the decision.
And though the projection for the future looks bleak, Collins said the nation has gotten on top of the virus before and can do it again, if the public finds the motivation again.
"We shouldn't feel hopeless here and we know what works," Collins said. "We know that if we could, as Americans, agree to take those recommendations to heart, that we would keep our masks on when we're outside, we'd stay more than six feet apart from each other and we would avoid indoor gatherings where there's a big chance of spread, we wash our hands and all that, then we could implement what we know has worked," he said.

Older children spread the coronavirus just as much as adults, study finds
n the heated debate over reopening schools, one burning question has been whether and how efficiently children can spread the virus to others.
A large new study from South Korea offers an answer: Children younger than age 10 transmit to others much less often than adults do, but the risk is not zero. And those between the ages of 10-19 can spread the virus at least as well as adults do.
The findings suggest that as schools reopen, communities will see clusters of infection take root that include children of all ages, several experts cautioned.
“I fear that there has been this sense that kids just won’t get infected or don’t get infected in the same way as adults and that, therefore, they’re almost like a bubbled population,” said Michael Osterholm, an infectious diseases expert at the University of Minnesota.

Some states keep smashing unwanted Covid-19 records as a Trump official says the surge is real
For anyone still wondering whether this surge in new Covid-19 cases is real -- or if it just looks that way due to increased testing -- a Trump administration official put that question to rest Monday.
"There is no question we are having a surge right now," said Adm. Brett Giroir, the US assistant secretary of health who's leading the administration's Covid-19 testing efforts.
Yes, we are having increased cases, predominantly in the Sun Belt," Giroir said. "We are having more cases than we did a week ago, two weeks ago, three weeks ago, four weeks ago. That is very clear."
As of Monday morning, 31 states have seen more new cases this past week compared to new cases from the previous week, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.
Uh, we are testing more than we were 2-3-4-5 weeks ago. Hence we have more positive tests than we had 2-3-4-5 weeks ago. The official put nothing to rest, as usual the dip shit fear porn article takes artistic license with what is actually said.
It is pretty simple.
