i've backed off the last year because i'm on a mission to get below 300 this year.  sticking to 12-15 rep-range.  i can still do 225 for 10 reps comfortably though.

How many wide and close grip pull-ups could you do? I guess you could do dips all day long so I won't even bother to ask.

At 300 I really didn't do pullups.  I wasn't a puller.  The only back stuff I did do were some deads but mostly rows and DB rows.  I did pulldowns behind the neck too.  And yes I loved dips and easily did sets of 25.  When I was a gymnast I could do pullups but really not many.  I think I did 25 at one time.  We had a guy at our school Marty Wright who was incredible.  He could do 30+ pullups like nothing.  Another guy was Bill Burney (he was a competitive BB) he too was incredibly strong.

You look samoan. Ever think of trying to look like a bodybuilder?

I hate it when people call me samoan.  I like samoans but samoans are big at birth.  I was a fairly skinny kid with wide shoulders.  I had to train to get my size originally.  Now I eat.

I finished second in all 3 shows as a heavyweight.  The heaviest I came in at was 208 and the lightest(last show) was 2-even. The last show I finished second to the eventual AAU Mr. America, Terry Hairston.  Terry's still in the game from what I understand.  He's married to Kim Harris, fbb.

I'm 6'1 and a lifetime natural.  I've thought about competing again in the Masters division, just to see what I would look after training like a bodybuilder for 10-12 years.  But I honestly don't know if I have the desire to do it anymore.  I'm just trying to cut weight so I can be healthier and be around for my kids.  Not trying to check out early on them.  lol

I'm not quite as big now as I was then. Plus, at a heavier bodyweight that exercise was much easier on my elbows. I can press 205 for 4-5 reps (barbell). Another month or two, and I should be able to hit 225 for that same amount of reps.

I tried 225 yesterday, after starting with 135 and 155. I jumped to 205 instead of 185 and got 5 reps with that. Finally, I tried 225 and got three reps.

Havent "shoulder pressed" seated with a BB in a long time but I used to get 225x4 for 3 sets.

I use DB mostly now. 120's for 5-6reps, 2 sets.
