A soft drink wouldn't ruin anything. Sucrose is real low on the GI as well. Whey and dextrose or maltodextrin would be much worse. He eats so many times a day there wouldn't be any crashes no matter what he ate.

your abslutely right.jay stated this in an old flex mag issue from 2004 but he also stated that he drinks it pre workout in an another flex mag from 2005
