Let me preface this by saying this is an ongoing discussion between me and my gf. We are both convinced of our points but I want to hear some other opinions/reasons why one of us or both may be right/wrong. I think that 99% of guys aren't friends with girls just to be their friends. They either want more or just want someone to bitch too, with the former being the main reason. Any thoughts?

Of course! But most women are not attracted to their guy friends so that doesn't happen all that often. Men are of the "bring beer, come naked" mindset so it's usually up to women to keep it under control.

But notice how all the guys say NO to girl friendships, and yet every girl has at least one, so somehow these numbers aren't matching up.

thats guys saying no to friendships with girls they dont want to bone ... weather she knows it or not

i dont think its anything against hanging out with chicks, just that a guy would rather spend his time on something with the chance for pussy than not

Yes I KNOW all guys would "bone" their "girl" friends in a second. I already said this on the girl board in answer to this question. All I'm saying is, that women are aware of this, and it's up to them to fend off the inevitable come on, (can take between 3 weeks to 3 months

Lol... yes, occasionally some suffer from the perseverance without hope syndrome... in the meantime, though, those particular guy friends give you great critiques of the guys you ARE dating.
