Not the best approach though.  But since you wouldn`t make that a daily habit, it wouldn`t matter and is not even a feasible comparison.

Just what I prefer. Everyone is different but there is a limit to how low you can go in reps before you work more of your tendon strength and not the muscle. 6 is pushing it. 8 to 12 reps is a good range for growth.

Goes back to what I was saying about old school training and HIT is crap when you are a bodybuilder!

Power, strength, hypertrophy in that order!

who can really do a strict set of 6 on side laterals with a really heavy weight? why not do 12 reps and be strict from the first rep to the last.

a compound like benches is different... depends upon the movement as to how many reps you can/should do...

To further explain the abusurdity and near improbability:

Try and put together a diet in which you get 20 grams of Trans fat but not going over, lets say 2000 calories.




Easy cheaper baked cookies and muffins.  And not to burst your bubbles but there has been thousands of studies done on the adverse effects of trans fat hence the reason the canadian government has made it mandoratory since the beginning of this year to label trans fat on all products.  Really man saying trans fats aren't unhealthly thats like saying sugar does'nt cause cavities.

Well, I've been training people for probably close to 20 years and have been in the game longer than that. My methods are somewhat controversial. As far back as the 80's even some of my workout buddies laughed at some of my methods but they stopped when they saw some of the people that started winning shows.

For example, so many people think that cardio is a must to get ripped. This is not always so. I do have people use it, but most of the time it is because mentally they feel the need. Personally I think that it is a waste of freaking energy that time could  be well spent recovering from a hard workout. Also, people tend to get way too fat in the offseason. They also don't realize that they are burning plenty of calories by working out, assuming that they are not standing around wasting time between sets. Most people wait too long between sets anyway. If you just busted your ass working out for 45 min why in the hell do some feel the need to walk into oblivion on the treamill for another 30-60 min and run your body further into the ground? Like I said, I do use it sometimes, but in reality it is not needed to get ripped.

well, maybe because weight training uses stored sugars as its main fuel source........... and "steady -state" cardio at the proper target heartrate tends to use stored bodyfat for fuel???? call me crazy, but that may be the reason.

That is exactly what is happening. The entire abdomen and all muscles are growing.
