no way in hell mariusz can strictly press 180kg, he can push press it with the explosive power he has, but in no way can he "bodybuild press" that weight.

At the end of the day the guy is immensely strong, and if you pointed out to him that he push pressed it, he'd just shrug, point to his pile of trophies and laugh.

guy is very strong no doubt about that..but he wouldnt win a real wsm competition...that wasnt an endurance competition. guy is very athletic and brutally strong but not as strong as savickas.

yeah i know but this thread was about how this months Flex made it look like he was using these poundages like a bodybuilder would.

I must not understand what a WSM competition is, because I would swear he's won a couple of them.

true, but some people believe a 180kg shoulder press (strict press) is common. very few guys in the world can do it..

as far as sheer strength and power go Savikas blows Mariusz out of the water, no comparison.

yes we realize that but if mariusz was to go over to IFSA in Europe he would barely crack the top 5 with more static strength events.

lol i know alot about wsm bro you dont need to inform me. i also know that several guys are stronger than mariusz. mariusz is an amazing athlete but in brute strengh several guys crush him.

What was surprised me even more about that issue was his diet.

one meal I think was three snickers bars.  And another was chocolate ice cream.

which he did in unbelivable
and then both him and chriscormier stat he did do 405 for 1
i dont this that is a far stretch for coleman

i think ronnie can do one rep with 405....

315x12 should put him right at 405 for one rep. (atleast he could do it a few years ago)

Marisuz is a shredded 285.

Savikas is pushing 350. Glen Ross is so fat it was impeding his ability to do a proper clean with the apollon'
s wheel.

If Mariusz bulked up to 350, I have no doubts he would be the best in the world. Instead, he chooses to display a physique which allows him to win the WSM.

I challenge anyone to show me a better athlete in the world today than Mariusz

I have no doubt that he could even "strictly press" the 405 for 3-4 reps. The "log lift" in WSM is about 280, and he does 12-13 of those, and we are talking about a long ass, clumsy, unbalanced "log", with a neutral grip at that. A nice, shiny, balanced, calibrated barbell, where you can choose to grip it where you want to, in a controlled situation, with 405 would be very doable. Come on, even you pessimistic doubters about everything, would have to admit that this is very probable
