haha thanks you two.. but it makes me feel like i'm bullshitting myself like before yanno?  plus my ass is hte main problem here. I shouldn't be elevating off the bench like that to finish the press. I know i can do 365 without bringing my ass up if i focused so that's teh plan for now as my current 1rep max in the inclines.

I love the vids...keep them coming!   ;D

I don't have much to offer, except that I have found a new foot position that helps me nail my ass to the bench better.  Foot placement is much wider now, and I moved my feet back closer to my head.  It makes your quads feel totally stretched out like rubber bands and helps my ass stay put.

If you get them so far behind you just your balls of your feet touch, you can push your heels down and it raises your belly up...you will feel it though!

EDIT: Should read toes, not heels

Good luck with that. What happens if you were to let it hit your chest? Dislocate your shoulder? I have a buddy that gets a pinch at the bottom and all of a sudden all his power is gone. The bar hits his chest and someone gets to deadlift it off.

Either way, I wouldnt even unrack 405 on the incline! Most I got was 335 and my shoulder was hating me.
tell me about it, even if i had a lift off 405 would drive me through the bench and the floor on the incline.

see that's the thing..nothing hurts at all!

on a positive note...just watch the shitty 405 vid... my elbows stay tucked nice and tight!  ;D

Watched ur vids, liked the cheeky grin after u hit 365.+I fell asleep waiting for u to fasten ur wrist straps in the 2nd vid, only messing.Do u have to keep ur elbows in whilst oding this lifting like that?

Did u get my PM about guestimatting weight wicked?

Iv got question for u peeps here,How do u know how many sets to do on max effort days.what i mean is how many sets do u do of 10 reps, then 6 reps, then doubles, then singles?

Dont slag off my squat numbers, had a few injuries in past couple years, but should it look like this?

barx20x2
220x10x1
268x6x1
275x2x1
286x2x1
297x1x1
308x1x1

??

Dont wanna thread hijack,as its a great thread, but all the folk that are in the know post here, so just wondering about that b4 i start my routine on monday that wicked helped me with.

I like to warm up kind of slow.

1x10
1x8
1x6
1x3
1x1 but still below max. Just a confidence builder.

You will find what works best for you eventually. All the best!

agreed. i used to warm up slowly, now i'm taking wicked's approach with fewer sets (today it was 135/225/275 and boom, heavy), and it works better for me.

a buddy of mine starts doing assloads of singles as soon as he hits 75% of his 1RM, and it works for him. that'd burn me the fuck out.

So 5 sets (10 reps to a 1 single) seems ok to starts. il use that for bench and squats.

Youve got to go by feel with it too...sometimes for me its 5 sets, others it is closer to 15!

yeah it depends on the exercise and what you're doing.. benching usually when i get to about 75% of 1rm I start pounding out singles and making decent jumps depending on how easily i got the weight up.

friday's workout

WIDE stance squats
....first time going wide and LOVE it! VERY stabile and comfortable but flexibility will come..

barx20x1
135x10x1
225x6x1
315x6x1
405x6x1
500x2x1
585x1x1 easily
635xmiss...

it's hard to get in and out of a wide stance without a monolift but I like how it felt! HIPS are sore as hell but i was able to handle the weight better.. I like it.

leg curls

140x10x1
185x10x1
200x4x2
140x15x1
160x15x1

ghr...yeah right

hammer curls

50lbsx6x1
70lbsx6x1
90lbsx6x1

light barbell curls

135x6x3
