Yes - Armin was at the show and was seen eating ice cream. Perhaps he's following the Adonis diet.

Last year, the PDI said that they would have a 'spring schedule' for 2007.

Why don't they have a show for this man to compete in?

Was it like, one little ice cream cone?

Or was he just completely destroying a big sundae with sprinkles?

And was he eating it off the abs of one of those hot figure competitors?   :D

Armin was never in the show...plain and simple.

He literally showed up on SATURDAY morning, unannounced...no notice, no meeting (which is mandatory), no nothing.

It's really quite simple...it simply would not be fair to the other 17 competitors who did have a contract in, did notify the promoter, did attend the meeting, etc....it would set a bad prescedent to allow pro's to walk up and jump in at a minutes notice.....how many other guys would just wait and see who enters, or how they look on game day...only to jump in or bail out at the last minute? BAD IDEA.

This aint the NPC...this is the IFBB, and any profesional should have his shit together and have some idea that he's going to be competing, especially when the show and date has been announced since last year.

BTW...Armin wasn't mad, he didn't really care if he was let in or not. He knos the rules and even said himself that he understood if the answer was no.

Contract wasn't necessary remember?

Morning!

I dont really like to write something on any boards but I think now I have to..

First thing to all of you- relaxe!

I didnt came from germany to usa to compete in any show! I came few weeks ago to fullerton to make some fotoshoots for my sponsor nutrex, to help my friend milos with his seminar and not at least because I enjoy it to train in his gym!

Milos tried to make me to compete in keystone or colorado because I´m in shape anyway- I was not sure it is a good idea because I was not 100% contest-ready..

Finaly I decided to compete in colorado - I missed the athletes meeting - that was the reason why they didnt let me compete - my folk - I can take it!

No big deal for me because I planed to come to colorado anyway..

But...
what will happen to somebody he miss the meeting or whatever and he really come from the other side of the world just to compete in that contest - he spend a lot of time and a cople of tousand dollars for his preparation/flight/hotel/rentalcar? And get nearly nothing back! How much for 6th-10th place? 1000$!??! I mean thats better than nothing - but it is nearly nothing - you have to pay just for the flight about 1000$.... And dont forget- the most guys they place 6th-10th doesnt have a big sponsor or anything...
If I think about that- I think it would be better if they handle situation like that in a different way!

Sport frei!

Armin is a well-spoken gent, even in temperment, he appears to be a good fellow for the sport.

So is Milos, suspension, for what?

Hey Armin-

Thanks for posting and lending some insight into the situation.

To answer your question....If you were to let the promoter of ANY pro show in advance that you were to be delayed, or some other circumstance...they would be more than accomodating and work with the athlete as best they can....especially with a European competitor who is coming from a long way to compete.

Best of luck to you in your next show....

See...I told you that you looked good enough to compete...!

Get on stage big man...Olympia is coming!!

Is there anything sadder than binging on Dreyer's Grand Strawberry ice cream in an empty auditorium at 7 PM on a Saturday night?

bob, what is this rumor about a 10-year old stripper?  I haven't seen the clip, but it sounds odd.

if it's true, will you be giving Shawn and jeff the same amounf of grief you STILL give Wayne for having a child onstage at the 2004 NOC?

There was no 10 year old stripper.

Wayne's senario involved his young son and Kenny Jones in a "Michael Jackson" child porn gig...it was soundly booed off the stage by the sell out crowd...

There were a few entertaining acts...one was a breakdance style  troup, another was one of the judges 10 Y.O. daughter who competes in unior dance and fitness style competitions...she did a great routine just like the Pro Fitness girls...flips, strength moves, floor work, etc.

Audience loved her talent, and gave her a greta round of applause.

correct, she wasn't stripping.  it was a 10 year old child in hot pants and a halter top doing cartwheels, flips and gyrating her pelvic muscles to ghetto jive
