Have you ever even encouraged a kid to be the best that he could  be regardless of his physical diaability?

Have you ever shed a tear when an ill child stood tall and accepted a 1st place trophy and held  it high with a pride on his face that his mom and dad had never seen before?

Have you ever conversed with a group of kids about the dangers of drugs and alcohol? Have you even ever heard of "No Hope in Dope"?

Have you ever helped a world class athlete cut his steak because he was too ill to cut it himself?

Has anyone ever thanked you privately or publicly for helping others who are  less fortunate?

Have you ever appeared on national TV? Have you ever been in a Hollywood movie? Have you ever advised a movie star on how to conduct a special scene?

Have you ever excelled in any athletic endeavor? Been a state champion? National champion? World wide possibly?

Have you ever stood behind a young kid's wheelchair while that young man was personally honored by the WWF for his willingness to talk to the world about the MDA? That was his illness and he wanted to show the world that he was a survivor and thank everyone who had ever given him a helping hand. And he was looking at Keith the entire time he spoke those words.

Have you ever volunteered to help anyone in their time of need?

If you can answer YES to everyone of these questions, then I would say that you are as good a man as Keith will ever be.

The way I got to Hawaii was because the Hawaii Chapter of the Special Olympics saw me at International Games in Reno and invited me to Hawaii.  I traveled a lot and would bring my table and armwrestle the kids.  they loved it.  Every Special Olympia I went to I had the most popular clinic.  All the kids loved it. I had a blast doing that stuff and the kids loved it too.  These are a few pics from the special Olympics

Seems to me some of the lads here should be in the special olympics. I used to teach kids like that at a special school. I always tried to make PE fun for them. We used to go on a lot of bushwalks and things like that.
