It is a sad regret to not have stood for a noble cause, instead.

I wish he could have been home everynight while guarding our own borders, instead of being in a foreign country fighting them in the name of a forced democracy.

Not sure what you want me to say here.  Good for him for going through something so terrible and still managing to plug away in the gym.  That takes a lot of strength and spirit.
