2 things.. genetical- never heard of it, and another- if they do, then it follows that the majority of the white population in the US is dumber than the rest of the world's who have an average of 100. This has to occur as the number of "black people" would bring the norm down, so someone scoring 100 in the US would probably only get 95 or less elsewhere.

I'm having a real problem accepting genetic intelligence differences considering we all stemmed from the very same blueprint and culture and environment evolved the physical differences. Not saying that the stats are false- but suggesting that theres no difference in potential- which is what IQ tests are supposed to capture.

guys IQ tests are so unreliable, it all depends on the person giving the test really, many people have had such high standard deviations, when they took certian tests with different instructors.

Interesting.  Then...I guess I'm living a dream since I'll have my MBA/Ph.D (Phar Science) completed in the next 2-3 yrs and I'm black.  For some reason I remember all my past genetics professors saying this kind of datum is all cramp.  Any man in science with an agenda (Bell Curve) came up with the his own numbers...given it isnt exact.  Getdumb keyboard superstars know it all.

BTW...most Africans that come to the states can speak several langs, excel in academics, and usually out perform the hometowns including whites.  Sometimes environment and access play a greater role.

Africans would be immigrants (one country to another).  Mexicans are migrates (one region to another).  It's not like the US and Mexico arent connected. You're making the same mistake disco_stu did... 100 is not the national average, country-by-country,  it is set at the humankind average, the world average, the average of everyone who has ever taken the test.  If you re-norm the distribution for every country individually how in god's name do you expect to compare relative intelligence worldwide?  Doing it that way, every country would have a mean of 100, since whatever the individual country's mean score was would automatically be defined as "100". 

IQ would be set as humankind average if a test could be constructed that fairly could measure people of different language and cultural background with the exact same stimuli items. The best test I know about, the WAIS-III, is fairly language dependent. Thus, different language versions have been developed.

J. Phillippe Rushton and other try to cirumvent this by using the nonverbal Raven matrices test. While that test is a good non-verbal IQ test, it fails to assess most of the facets of IQ, most notably verbal intelligence.
