What do you say to a telemarketer when they call your house?  I've always wondered how those in the telemarketing game handle it.

Handle it in the same fashion as you would to a Jehova Witness at the door.  But, depending on the type of service or product they are selling.  If you need it buy it; if you don't need it hang up.

Good approach, but I was hoping to hear it from the horse's mouth.  I'd genuinely like to know what someone who makes a living as a telemarketer says to telemarketers to get them to quit calling.

when I did have a home phone, I would hang up as soon as they called.
then I got 2x more calls.
