15 is illegal.
Taking a 15-year to your house on multiple occasions is VERY illegal.

You can argue 'well, physically, she is ready', but as a former teacher who had classrooms of 14- and 15-year olds, I can tell you they are very much NOT ready.

That 33-year old man had a responsibility to keep it in his pants. At 15, they might be physically developed, but their hormones are a mess and their maturity is thru the floor. They are still kids.

This is inexcusale no matter what. Private investigator filmed his fiancee taking her back to his house repeatedly, and the indictment has details sex acts, so either the girl talked, or they got it on video. They don't just "make up" oral copulation or digital penetration - they have a case and they know what he did.

He broke the law. If you disagree with the law, run for congress and change it. It's the law for a damn good reason - that girl is still a kid.

In Latin America 15 is the age that a girl becomes a woman. They have the quineneara(spelling?) and this means that she is ready to wed and have children, which means having sex. It's not uncommon in 2nd and thrid world countries for young women to already have a few kids before they turn twenty. You want a young and healthy girl to ensure a healthy baby. Once a woman hits her thirties you risk more things going wrong with a pregnancy.

Absolutely. Biologically, females between the ages 16-22 produce the 'healthiest' offspring. Grafted on top of that parameter is social mores and laws.

Haha I lived in Newport Beach for a few years and this wouldn't surprise me. You see 70 year old men dating 21 year old girls and nobody bats an eye, in fact most men cheer them on. Is there really a difference? If it was my daughter this Ellis guy would have ended up in the hospital with a traumatic brain injury and two broken knees. Both are wrong, but putting out with someone your own are is a little different than putting out with someone 18 years older than you. Jason had to gain the trust of the parents I'm sure because they must have had to sign a consent form since she was under age. IMO, the parents had no idea Jason was doinking her and she kept it from them.

People want a cool photography to take their picture for the magazine, the sites, etc. But if someone tells you to 'put' out for that, it is a crock of shit. For Jason to knowingly do that, and he knew her age, it is crap.

Even if the girl 'loved' him...

it is not uncommon in the US either. which is the problem. in a society with a high child mortality rate, it is important to have lots of children from a very young age so that some of them survive. but in a modern society, it is better to wait until the parents have the means to provide for them.

I agree that 18 is an unrealistic age of consent. but what this photographer did was still morally and legally wrong because he was in a position of authority over her. Throw out the AOC, and it is still a case of sexual harassment.

There's not a whole lot of difference between a freshman in high school and a senior in high school. Sorry! Of course no one in their right mind can justify what this guy did. 15 year olds nowadays may still be emotionally vulnerable but you'd be damn surprised how their mind works when it comes to sex and men or "boys".

if a kid from a supportive nurturing family is scared, think how it would be for a kid from an abusive family. If you have a good relationship with your child, your child will ultimately talk to you, and will not make such a significant decision without you. But if you've been having sex with your daughter for the last few years, it is realistic for her to come to you for permission to end the pregnancy?
