For a natural - no point to eat more than 60g's or protein/day

say you test two groups over the course of 1 year... conditions are as ideal as possible (both naturals- as obviously juicers must intake much protein)

group a-50g's/year
group b-250g's

-starting at same bodyfat levels and same weight
-both have same diet/workout routine except a protein difference (Ex: carbs and fat intake are same)

I would not expect their to be exceptionally MORE muscle on the person who at 250g's

there are A LOT more people on this planet that eat a "normal diet" and have great looking bodies than their are people who eat typical "bb diets" consisting of 7 chicken breasts/2 lbs of steak a day

Im NOT referring to male runway models, like i said - athletes that workout hard but just dont eat stupid protein amounts

like THIS guy

think about all the baseball, football, basketball etc etc players out there that workout hard and have killer bodies... i guarantee u they ate a "normal" (relatively speaking) diet

the group consuming 250g a day would have 1.92 pounds more of lean muscle mass but the difference would not be statistically significant at the conventional confidence level, hth

i think there is no need for all this high high protein diet

just eat a decent amount of sensible calories and youll be good

i work with a dude who is huge and in amazing shape and he eats a normal diet and goes 4-5 hours w/out eating and works out hard 5 days a week

If the type of "killer bodies" you're talking about are the skinny David Beckham, homo looking physiques then you are correct. Otherwise, I don't think anyone here should be lowering their protein consumption any time soon. homo hippies have been preaching this for years and they look like disheveled Grateful Dead eraser heads that did too much LSD back in the day and refuse bathing and wearing deodorant or anti perspirant. :D

I have eaten 400 grams a day and about 125 grams a day. I would say there is no difference but i feel better and stay leaner at 125 grams.

Maybe if you start going down below 70-80 grams it might be a different story.

Phil Hernon basically says eat when you are hungrey and what you eat will make the difference. I wish i followed this when i was younger i would have stayed leaner.

EXACTLY. Most of these guys "swearing" by high protein ARE the ones reading it from bb.com and flex because it "says so".... Unless u are juicing (for protein synthesis obviously) then natural guys have no fucking reason to take that much in. it is stupid and counterproductive.

You don't have a clue what you are talking about Eugene sandow has as much muscle as one of Ronnies legs and every convict I've seen is fat, believe me there is roids in there too, and they do eat extra protein. Top pros eat large amounts of protein and when you figure this out then maybe you will have muscle too.

not too much, not too little  ;)

I agree with that, but 50g of protein is what my mom eats and she's a midget 4'11" Filipina. That's too low. I agree that you can eat more carbs and especially more fats to grow well, but 50g of protein is nothing. I don't suck back 1000g of "plotein" (kyomu... ;)) each day, but I can easily eat or drink 50g of protein in a sitting.

I've tinkered around with lower protein diets but I don't like going too far below 200g of protein each day. If it's QUALITY protein you're consuming then a gram per pound of lean bodymass will probably suffice. And no, I'm not posting with a piece of cold tilapia or chicken breast in a tupperware or ziplock bag. I'm not psycho but there are two polar extremes, with ultra low protein being more useless than ultra high protein.

So she works out extremely hard every day, eats 50g's, and just DOESNT happen to grow huh? either one or all of those statements is incorrect. Whats her regimen, and what is her diet? Dude, why is it that u "just dont like" going below 200? I gurantee u there is no fucking difference in muscle gain. its all MENTAL because uve read for so long "eat big to get big".

Dbol, fina pellets, even injectables aren't impossible to get in prisons. But yeah, the prison comparison isn't fair. There's lifting for recreation and lifting not to get fucked in the ass and killed in your sleep. Plus they do fuck all, day-in, day-out, needless to say. No need to talk about prisons anyway because all of them are so varied, different dealers, different security levels, etc.
