I think that we are getting off the subject at hand. OK, just to recap the Adonis Principles are not sound, in fact they are crap.
I think that if you can stick with them, they do work

heard plenty of stories of dorian and nassar eating tons of big macs prior to contests...

Not as a daily thing which Adonis is suggesting. Offseason fine. Palumbo used to go to McDonalds and get a large diet coke, 2 double cheeseburgers, large fries, 2 apple pies, but only in the offseason. These guys didn't eat "whatever they wanted to" during prep ok.


I'M SAYING NOT AS A STAPLE IN YOUR DIET... Dexter wasn't eating Doritos everyday... and these guys weren't having burgers everyday...

Adam here's the deal. As a whole our nation is getting fatter and fatter so the smart and dumb concept holds no water.
Look where the concentration is.  The highest levels of obesity exist where people are the least educated.  This is true for all industrialized nations as well.  The more educated and higher the intelligence level, the less prevalence of obesity.  This is unarguable.

Mr Wansink`s ENTIRE BOOK is on the human element and Psychology of it all.  ::)  He has compiled his entire lifes work to this very idea using real time data and hands on person to person studies.

Obviously you have not been paying attention.

I wouldn't know since I haven't tried them, wavelenght is on it, he has made good progress so far, perhaps he can weigh in on this

re-read what i said.... "prior to contests" meaning right before their contest.... i believe "protien" is way overated... its total calories that count

what I don't get is how people let themselves become 200 pounds over weight?  ???
some people are actually 1 ton  :-X
do they not at one point stop and look at themselves and rethink their habit?
we had a girl in highschool who was MORBIDLY OBESE
yet she drank 2 liters of non diet coke and ate a HUGE bag of chips everyday for lunch  :-\
Likewise I don`t understand the need to eat a whole box of something or overeat at any meal.

False.  There is no such thing as a bad food and ANY food can be a staple in a diet.  How about this.  Tell me one food that you think is off limits and I will eat it everyday for a month and show you that there will be ZERO change.  Are you willing to take that offer?

You're going to need to exhibit much better results personally to really garner any sort of following for your "diet" or get someone else worthy of mention to follow suit.  

By the way, did you ever stop to think that some people may enjoy eating less calorically-dense foods?  Once again, you're imposing your value set and belief system on others by assuming everyone wants to eat junk foods if they had the chance.  There are quite a few people who actually ENJOY eating whole foods.

All you'd have to do is manipulate calories to fit in cake and ice cream each day. I understand that. But i'd prefer to at MORE "clean food", than a little "junk food".

Again, I always say eat what you like.  I don`t automatically default to any kind of food.  That is your own projection.  Show me where I say eat "junk food" or that it must be the bulk of your choice. You can`t simply because I never have said or advocated that.

I am sure plenty people would never ever touch what I eat sometimes, Pork Cheek with Gruyere and Ramps via Alinea.  Do you think I tell everyone to go out and eat Pork Cheek?

if are sitting at a desk working all day eating shit u will get fat, but if u are active u can eat whatever you want and stay lean and gain size....... like i said protein is wayy overated..... its all about calories and how your body digests it

yeah but that guy is juiced to the gills.  With his stack he could be eating whatever he wanted everyday and look like that.
