you'd be surprised the kind of shabby bars that float around in older gyms. there's at least two at my gym that'll wobble with 405 and it's pretty alarming. which sucks because they're also the best for squatting and pulling thanks to the way the knurling is set and the diameter on it.

and dude, DK, bossa's put his pictures up. he's hilariously jacked. i'm not sure i believe he was knocking around 315 his first go, but i don't doubt he got there pretty quickly.

The first time I ever did a DL I did 3 plates...in tenth grade...I was shaky as hell but I got it up.  The first time I ever did a squat in a gym I did 3-4 reps with 3 plates...in all seriousness I had done squats at home before then with my dads set from the 50's (those green york plates lol)

The record in my highschool was 515 lbs - my football coach told me that he thought I could beat but I never was able...I did try but he said I wasn't deep enough with it to count.  then in my last year of highschool I lost 40 lbs because I wanted to play football in university and at 5'9" 235 lbs you are too slow to play anything at that level and of course I lost strength with that.  

It did take me over 10 years to hit 3 plates in the bench though  (but I had a complete shoulder reconstruction) and I should be great at it since I have little alligator arms;D

No you weren't only trying to piss Sevy... you just got owned... and probably me too... when I squat 180kgs the bar bends a little... Sevy's bar doesn't bend 1 mm...

yeah i hear that shoulder reconstruction thing will do that to you.  :o

i'm in the same boat as you with the bench. 375 sounds big until you realize my ROM isn't exactly enormous.  ;D

Sev is very strong for his size (Bench Press and Squat); however, Sev's squats were parallel and Groudy's squats looked almost ass to the floor.

I do 405 for 6 to 8 reps on my strongest set (depending if I have a spotter or not, but always in a power rack for safety), with just a bit below parallel (not ass to the floor though) and good form; don't want to get injured and not be able to play with my kids at the playground.

Not speaking about myself (I consider myself quite weak for my size actually), but there are a lot of guys out there who are freakishly strong for their size.  I once knew this guy that was only around 190 lbs but he could bench 455 lbs for several reps like it was nothin'; just genetics and different type of muscle fiber I guess.  So when guys on here spout out about how much they can lift, I don't automatically call BS on them.  But then again, the guys who are really strong don't really have the need to brag about it either.

I've done them - 405 on a regular basis for squats ass to heels. I've done 500 in a smith machine a few years back but regular squats I've only gone as high as 465 for reps.

Not these days but the most I ever squatted was 405 below paralell.

After telling a few guys that I did it,they asked me how many reps I got................I said one that shit felt like a friggin` bus on my back!  :)

haha it felt ok.

i done my opener and teh damn firealarm went off lol...i was standing in rian for 20mins outside. It felt heavier than it should asi had cooled down.

I didn't go deep enough with the 515 lbs to break the "school record" - we had to break parallel with it...read my post

I'm not claiming anything ridiculous...look at Anthony clark: at 15 did 370. At 16, did 440. At 17,  set a high school record at 520. At 18 did 600, at 19  did 612...and this is in the bench...those numbers are alot crazier than being able to squat 315 for a few your first go round...some people are just strong in certain things...there are alot of people stronger than i am

back in high school after the football game where i ran for 427 yards and 7 TD's i squatted ass to calves with 1200 for 6 but now my knees/back/neck/rotator cuff/elbows/feet/wrists hurt plus i have a family and job so i just stick to 95 for sets of 10 half way down.

In all seriousness, aren't you a pretty good squatter?  I wonder which "regular" (read: not a well-recognized powerlifter, bodybuilder or strongman guy) here squats the most?
