nasser was great in 97, but yates had him beat in many of the poses - except fdb and maybe abs and thighs.

the 97 contest was my first on video and its very apparent that yates wins - especially from the front and the back.

yates presentation was better.

nasser had a red tinge to him at the night show. wierd.

something that pictures wont' show.

Wrong. They each looked better in certain mandatories. Nasser clearly has the ab-thigh and side triceps, as well as the front double bi's, rear lat spread. It could have gone either way, but I think Nasser edged him out.

Notice even in low res you can see Ronnie's gyno popping out in the ab-thigh shot

I'm downloading the 98 Olympia right now so will be able to give better resolution screencaps later that will prove that the show was very close between the two, and that Nasser looked better Ronnie in many poses.

The contest was VERY close between Ronnie & Flex , Nasser was a distant third

please learn what all rounds are physique rounds mean and then you have the answer on how Ronnie would not beat Nasser in PARTS of certain poses but still clearly defeat him in all of the poses you mentioned , I agree about the gyno it's indicative of the best bodybuilder on the planet but should it cost him the whole contest? obviously the judges didn't think so

Nasser does structually have a better ab-thigh , side triceps but again that's a SMALL part of the equation overall considering all rounds are physique rounds , Ronnie clearly beats him

According to the judges yes, but according to the unbiased eye it was very close between Nasser and Ronnie, Flex was a distant third
