because this guy Buddha basically "invented" 'live your fucking life', so it was named after him.

I agree in the sense that there are just as many buddhist bigots as there are biggots in any other religion (resp. spiritual tradition). Someone who calls himself a "Buddhist" is on the wrong path anyway. The point is to realize that we already are Buddha.
