Wanted to do the arms circuit Chaos gave me but of the five people in the gym, two of them had to camp out on the cables so I improvised (it definitely wasn't as good) using the pulldown rack and another cable setup with a different bar.

CGBP superset with Hammer curls

Super set:

Pressdowns
Cable curls
Overheard rope extensions
Reverse curls

Cardio
Abs

Cause you're an idiot ???

BF how did your arms feel after? Looks like you had to split it up, so you probably didn't get the full effect.

Even with splitting it up I really felt it. I went lighter on the weights, too, as I was trying to gauge where to start my working weight from. Never really done any cable work so I had to get an idea.

I can tell doing it correctly is going to be awesome so I'm going to make sure I don't split it up next week.

OK here's an example of giant set workouts I did.....

Monday quads/hams

leg ext-squats-leg press-hack squats-leg ext   finish quads before starting hams

sldl- laying leg curls-seated leg curls

Tues chest/triceps

Flat-incline-decline presses-incline flyes-cable flyes     finish chest before starting triceps

CGBP-pushdowns-overhead ext

Wed off

Thurs back/biceps

Deadlifts-pulldowns-DB rows-hypers  finish back then biceps

Standing curl-preacher curls-cable curls

Fri shoulders

Standing presses-side laterals-rear delts-shrugs

Also Friday you can throw in abs/calves if you can. ;D

Everything is 3 sets, no rest between exercises only 1 minute or so between "sets", finish one bodypart before moving on to next. Exercises can be supplemented as you see fit, db's or barbell moves whatever is comfortable. At first your numbers will drop, but you'll be amazed at how fast the body adapts and you should be able to add weight every week, maybe not up to your regular numbers but up no less. No I only did these for 4-5 weeks at a time, then switched back to straight workouts. Anybody that does this will notice how much easier it is to breathe when you switch back also, believe it or not, you will be stronger, maybe not a big jump, but you'll notice a few more reps, lets say you're squatting 315 for 5-6 before, after you may hit 9-10.

Nj if you're looking for a little extra on shoulder add in a rotation of machines, presses-side lat-reverse pec deck. 3 sets of that after you db/barbell work.

Also that's why we used to throw calves/abs on shoulder day, its like a 10 minute workout. ;D

dude after posting my mind was made up to do this today and i usually warm up with calves first ,then did dumbell press, side laterals, front raise with straight bar, bent over dumbell 3 xtomes around and your fucking right 10/15 minutes and pumped to maxx,,,i shrugged after reverse on smith and dumbell to sides 5 sets total traps,,then forearms lol,,,i will try the machine version, thanx,,,i like and need to stimulate delts with more reps less weight approach boredom and stubborn part,,traps ,legs ,chest, calves, back are good respnders and bodyparts for me.

Thanks, nj.  It's basically a simple 10 week "refresher" course I'm doing, trying to up the weight on the big 3 exercises.  Realized it had been awhile since I actually got noticeably stronger.  It's full body 3x a week with progression on all exercises, when possible, with a "de-load light week" after week 4.
