Hummmmm Horsemeat,

Im living in Québec (canada) and here horsemeat is a popular meat for bodybuilders. I ve heard that its rare to find some in the US. We eat it grounded like ground steak, but it has less fat than beef and taste pretty good.

Man!  I didn't realize my advice was getting roasted.  lol   :D

It's just my opinion.  But the idea doing 1hr to 1.5 (which you need to gradually work up to) is to get you to drop weight sooner than later.  Alot of bodybuilders make that mistake and then they end up having to make drastic changes to their diet.  As you get closer to the show, you don't need to be doing this much cardio.  The others are right about that.  But the main idea is to get that metabolism kicking into gear.

Bottomline though, bro.  You gotta do what's right for you.  Alot of people are going to give you their idea of what works, and that includes me.  I'm just giving you the plan that worked for me.  Do the hard work up front and then you won't be worried about being flat or holding too much water come competition time.  Just my .02.  Hope the training is going well for you.

sounds like a good plan.  try upping that cardio from an hour to 1.5 hours a day.  Switch machines if you have to (30 min per cardio machine), but I think you need to pick that up a bit.
When you are training, you should go through 3/4 gal to 1 gallon by the time your workout ends.  And try to drink 2 to 2.5 gal. of water per day.  I know it's alot and you'll be running to the bathroom every 15-20 minutes, but it will really get that metabolism kicking into high gear.
Are you measuring out your food?

id rather do it this way.get myself in reasonable shape then fine tune as we get closer to the show!

Oh, I forgot another neat little trick.  When you drink your water, make sure it's really cold.  Your body has to work to regulate your core temperature.  So when you drink ice cold water, it forces your metabolism to boost itself.

Have you lost any strength during your training?

Good size but you need to bring up your chest....your delts seem to be taking over. I would also try and bring up the width in your back to give you wast the illusion of being smaller, i would recommend heavy chin ups or rack chins with good hammer strenght maching work as well. Over all good job brother

Hey dude, I hope that you are just listening to ONE guy.....you'll get people saying everything about everything, but the golden rule when attempting an endeavor such as this, is to listen to one person, and stick with his advise the whole way through. You have made some good progress, but I'm sure that you know by now that none of this is easy, and it gets 100 times harder if you do it right. If you are constantly tired- wore out 24-7, then you are on the right track. The diet will drive you crazy, and remember, no matter how ripped you are a week, or days leading up to contest day, and everybody's telling you how ripped, and diced to the bone you are.... there's probably 3-7 guys in you weight class that are just as shredded as you are, and they got people saying the exact same stuff about them. Be supremely confident, but also humble, and respectful. It will get you far.                                                    Weez

Weez is dead on.  Mike, looking good, bro.  You've got a great structure.  Keep going hard, dude.  I really think you are going to surprise yourself when this is all said and done.  20lbs is a great start!

That is great, Mike!  Yeah, don't freak about losing the weight.  You've got some thickness to you, so you're just shedding fat.  You'll hit some plateaus as well.  That's just to be expected.  You'll lose, and then it'll feel like an act of congress before you shed another pound.  But you'll naturally bust through those plateaus.  I'm glad things are going well for you.

Hey Mike
I already see markant improvement here, you've gotten more defined, and some of the weight you've lost is probably waterweight.
Keep this up, you're finally revealing the potential we've all been waiting for you to utilize.
Good luck!  8)

You're gonna have to come in absolutely shredded to even get looked at.  First look is that your lack of leg thickness and wide/thick waist are gonna kill you.

You have alot of work to do from now until your show which is right around the corner.  I still honestly think you should wait until the fall, but hey thats just me.  OR do the show in five months as a "lets see how it goes" show then do a show in the fall for your real one.

Cool pics.

Obviously your legs will be pretty thin, but your upper body will look really good imo. You can always say wanted a classic, old-school physique  ;D.
Once you lose the fat around the waist/belly you'll look massive. Have you had gyno surgery?

20 lbs is a lot though. Maybe you should check you're bf% and do some measering etc to see that you're not losing too much muscle.

The 20lbs is water and your trainer SHOULD be monitoring your weight on a weekly basis and bf% on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

Atleast thats what I would do.

Your not losing a bit of muscle if your keeping your protein high and keeping an eye on things....i.e. your bodyweight and bf%.

Do you take Flax seed oil?  If not you should be.  Take two tablespoons a day.  You'll thank me later.
