Holy Schit did this thread get sidetracked.

Who cares where Mike placed or how many competitors were in his class? He set out to compete, he busted his ass and he did it. Everyone should be happy for him. I admit that Cheri is a little out there but who cares, she's standing up for her man.

Congratulations Mike, don't let this thread get you down. You accomplished something very few people accomplish.
Me three.  :D

I know you have heard me say it before, but that transformation is awesome Mike. I'm glad you kept us up to date throughout the diet. Really shows the hard work and great efforts you put into it. Congrats!

 Congrats, brother Mike!

You looked great! Job well done...I'm inspired, bro, I really am! I hope you get back to the drawing board by Wednesday or Thursday THIS WEEK. Your body is like a sponge right now...use this window of oppurtunity to GROW again...I'm sure you feel a little bit of 'post-contest depression' but fight through that and get your ass back in the gym THIS WEEK!

Over the summer...you can implement an E.O.D. training routine to stay rested and free up time.

 Congrats again!

Mike, enjoy that you had the balls to step up, compete and also look good.  Some of these guys here will rip anyone that doesn't look like a pro.  Just look at your before and after pics, that will put a smile on your face.  As you are eating and fill back out you have the opportunity to give your body a new setpoint.  The couple months after a show, it does seem like you can grow easier.  Happened to me, I've never been this heavy and thats even having dealt with an injury.

Enjoy eating bro and you get mad props for the transformation you've made.  For every 1 negative post here, you've gotten 10 good ones.  Remember that!

finish off at 3rd???

i didnt enter the novice division
instead i chose to go after the big boys in the open classes

i came in third place in the "mens open heavyweights" (there were 4 total competitors)
and 4th in "the mens open masters over 40" the toughest class in the whole show
there were 7 total competitors in this class..............

not too shabby for my first show.................... ......... ;)

Mike,

You sucked it up, did all the hard work, transformed your physique and put it all on the line at a contest, for all to see. You are now in a select group. Congrats on a job well done.

I find it amazing that TA found a woman that has his exact same personality.

If she is real (which I doubt) she's got to be related somehow.

I'd say he lost prob. 10-12lbs. Like i said cutting the water was the key.Fri ,I went up & put 2 coats of protan on him & didn't see him until weigh in &the way he tightened up so much in that short amount of time was pretty damn amazing. He weighed in at 198.5 but by the time he walked on-stage ,he was around the 205 mark.
