just eat Mike, eat all of your protein first and then eat as much carbs after that as you can, it won't be that much but you'll still get more than 50-100 grams you're a big guy and you need at least 200 grams of carbs put a lot of them near your workout like Cutler does and your energy will go up.

One thing Michael is not on is a "chemically clean" diet.  lol  So chemicals in or out of food are not the reasoning for drinking distilled water.
Here is what I know of distilled water:
"Distillation is the process in which water is boiled, evaporated and the vapour condensed. Distilled water is free of dissolved minerals and, because of this, has the special property of being able to actively absorb toxic substances from the body and eliminate them. Studies validate the benefits of drinking distilled water when one is seeking to cleanse or detoxify the system for short periods of time (a few weeks at a time). Fasting using distilled water can be dangerous because of the rapid loss of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride) and trace minerals like magnesium, deficiencies of which can cause heart beat irregularities and high blood pressure. Cooking foods in distilled water pulls the minerals out of them and lowers their nutrient value."

"special property of being able to actively absorb toxic substances from the body and eliminate them"  Doesn't work if you're over hydrated.  It actually has the opposite effect.  The water in the body becomes toxic, b/c the body is retaining water.  Then the body will try to filter out the polluted water through the liver, thus prolonging the breakdown of fat (and other functions). So the over-hydrated person will also build up sodium and have a washed/bloated look, and feel weak.

Also, not one study exists that Proves that distilled water is beneficial to a homeostatic organisim.  Distilled water was a fad of the 80's and has re-emerged.

Kinda hard to overhydrate if he's already depleted. High protein with little or no carbs results in your kidneys working harder than usual causing excess urination. Since your muscles are about 70% water you shouldn't limit your water consumption and the water should be as pure as possible to flush and keep your kidneys functioning properly!

Well, I disagree with you about the carbs Mr. IO. Ketosis especially with high protein and fats (I would like to see his EFA quantity jacked up though) is VERY muscle-sparing. He will look weaker and feel a little weaker(part of which will just be in his head), but that will be remedied as soon as he adds carbs back in. There was a study done on this recently(I will see if I can dig up), but bottom line ketosis works. He can carb-cycle if he wants as well, but personally, I would have him just go into ketosis full-time for a few weeks so he can adjust mentally(brain-fog and carb-cravings should dissipate after a few days).

I am wary of the extreme amounts of distilled water. All I will say is that, Mike, I hope you are taking high doses of a quality multi-vitamin/mineral. You can get Animal Pak fairly cheap online or go to your local GNC and get some Mega-men. Dose twice daily. Add flax or fish oil in if you can (helps mentally, lubricates joints, normalizes hormone levels, good for the heart). Also do your best to listen only to your guru, but see what he thinks of my advice.

You know normally I wouldn't even bother to respond to a-hole like yourself, but first off I'm not making a dimeoff of this, second Mike asked me, I told him to find someone he knew competed or someone like Mindspin to help him & listen to him & him alone. Personally, just because you read 1 or 2 articles in Flex Or something else does not make you an expert , nor does doing your 5-10 pushups a night make you a BB. Fact of the matter is, I've prob. been onstage more times than you've been to a show , & I really think YOUR trying to mess Mike up . So do this STFU untilthe shows over & then let's hear what you got to say. I know for a fact I can have Mike ready, all your doing is running your trap, so once again STFU & watch, you might learn something.

I've never posted on Getbig, just browsed it for info and gossip here and there.  Just had to register and give Mike props for what he's doing.  I think it'll help his credibility when it comes to the personal training thing.  Keep goin' bro.

The sight of a pizza or hamburger commercial would be absolute torture.  I too had a tough time getting to sleep (except for the one year I discovered GHB).  After about the sixth week, it got a lot easier, probably becasue I was so exhausted.  At that point you are basically a robot on auto pilot methodically doing your thing...
Haha I remember doing cardio and a Pizza Hut or Mcdonalds commercial would come on and drool would start to come out of the side of my mouth!  Yea and you're right....the closer you get the more robotic you become.

Got my NPC card in the mail today!

(also Larry came up to World Gym Palm Beach Gardens and took a look at me
along with his pretty and jacked wife and daughter, his wife is doing the same show that im doing,
Larry....aka LLES was a pretty big dude himself,he showed me how to hit the madatory poses
and had some pictures from some of the shows he has competed in (dude looked great!)
all in all a very nice and knowledgeable guy (his wife was very nice and knew a lot as well)
here is an e-mail he sent us after ...................

"Hi Laura & Mike,
Thank you for the nice words. The pleasure was all
ours ,you & Mike are a great couple. Mike has a great support unit in you &
that is vital during competition. I really like the fact that you
"straight-shoot"it to  him when he needs it. I'm glad you are not babying
him. Mike is going to do just fine. BB is 95 % mental, & the higher up you
go the harder it gets,so thankful you'll be there to keep him on the
straight & narrow.I know we covered alot yesterday in a short time, so I
just wanted to go over a couple of things we touched on. Vitamins &
Minerals, if he is not on a really good one, let me suggest
www.puritanpride.com. When you get to the page go to the search box & put in
"Ocean Silver". It is bar-none the best Vitamin/Mineral I've ever taken. I
will not take any other kind. It is liquid so it absorbs quickly & you can
take it on an empty stomach, they usually run specials, buy 1 get 1 free or
buy 1 get 2 or 3 free,ect. 1 bottle 32oz last Emma & me about a month, My
parents & all my friends who have tried it all love it too, so check the
site out. Mike, make sure your journal is straight, once again this is
vital. When the show is over,it's a great reference guide & if & when you do
another show ( & you prob. will want to, believe me) you can fall back on
that & make proper adjustments. The first show is ALWAYS the hardest,
because you are in the dark in so many areas, next show, you'll know way
more on how you feel & your conditioning. It's also fun to write down how
your feeling that day & then looking back on it. Take plenty of pixs too.
The transformation process is awesome. You see yourself everyday, so you
don't see the transformation as much, but beleve me, when you see week 1
thru week 12-13 ,it's amazing! Not only that, you can put the transformation
on your web-site to show your customers too, & it could help your business.
You are doing great Mike keep it up, & keep practicing your posing,
everyday. Talk to you soon, Larry

You need a 'prick' coach, like Rocky's coach.  Somebody that always puts you down.
