Well, I disagree with you about the carbs Mr. IO. Ketosis especially with high protein and fats (I would like to see his EFA quantity jacked up though) is VERY muscle-sparing. He will look weaker and feel a little weaker(part of which will just be in his head), but that will be remedied as soon as he adds carbs back in. There was a study done on this recently(I will see if I can dig up), but bottom line ketosis works. He can carb-cycle if he wants as well, but personally, I would have him just go into ketosis full-time for a few weeks so he can adjust mentally(brain-fog and carb-cravings should dissipate after a few days).
I am wary of the extreme amounts of distilled water. All I will say is that, Mike, I hope you are taking high doses of a quality multi-vitamin/mineral. You can get Animal Pak fairly cheap online or go to your local GNC and get some Mega-men. Dose twice daily. Add flax or fish oil in if you can (helps mentally, lubricates joints, normalizes hormone levels, good for the heart). Also do your best to listen only to your guru, but see what he thinks of my advice.
