WOW, Mike!!!  You really got it done, last week, didn't  you, bro?   :o

These latest pics look great!  I can tell your skin is starting to tighten up and we can see more of your shape.  I'm glad you can see the changes in these pics, because I can tell you were getting down on yourself last week.  Keep getting after it, bro.  Cheri, keep encouraging him.  It's definitely working.

yea...after seeing those god-awful pics of me last week i really took it up another notch
(i know i dont have the best structure/shape/genetics for this sport, and everything i do is twice as hard for me than for the "genetically gifted",i guess that's why this thread is good(if i can do it anybody and i mean anybody .. can)
lol..im flat as a pancake right now (but Larry says "you have to get small to get big")
i appreciate all the support (it's keeps me going!)
thanks..............MIKE

So your not Flex Wheeler, who is. Make the most out of what you have. I've seen your structure & the only thing you need to worry about is making your weak body-parts a priority. Once they catch up ( & they will providing you work the sh*t out of them)you'll be fine. Wait till the shows over & you re-bound, you'll be pretty pleased w/what you see.

Larry beat me to it, Mike.  You gotta stop beating yourself up over your physique.  Everyone can't look like Flex Wheeler or Dorian Yates.  Dude, this is your first time ever doing something like this.  Remember, those guys were doing some MAJOR stuff to get to the level that they attained, and that was on top of the incredible genetics they possessed.  You're a good ways away from this competition, and I promise you, if you stay on target the way you are right now, you are going to impress yourself.  I understand how you feel and what you're going through.  But you can't compare yourself with the pros.  The top tier guys have contracts and don't have 9-5 jobs like the rest of us.  This is their life.  I just encourage you to take it one day at a time.  Put your head down and get after it for 12 weeks straight.  When it's time to look up, as sure as I exist, you'll be pleased with the result.  Why?  Because no matter where you place (bb is very funny in that you never know who's gonna show up), you'll know that you've done your best.  Keep a picture of yourself where you thought you looked your worst and compare it to the physique after you've competed.  Yeah, you'll feel alot better.

Get at it, bro!

not to mention they weren't all that at their first shows.  It look years of competing to get to where they are today and they way "we" see them.

I love you baby.  You are working towards something great and I am so very proud of you!

It's just an old saying. I have no idea where I came from. It basically means, once you get depleted & stripping the bodyfat off, you look & feel smaller than you've ever felt. After the show, you start eating & have a rebound ( put on extra muscle) & get bigger & if you watch your dieting closer than you did before your show& not let yourself get too fat afterwards, you'll be bigger & in better shape than before. When I competed, the one thing that really kept me focused during the weeks of low-carbing was continuously telling myself how great of a rebound I would & did have.

Breathing is tough after a rebound.

I'm surprised you never figured out how to rebound BEFORE the show.  If you fully deplete and lose all BF 3-4 weeks prior to the show, you can back off the cardio & up the calories resulting in full rebound without regaining an ounce of BF.

Unfortunately Mike is probably not in a position to do this, becasue he'll be scrambling to lose BF all the way up to the show...

Once again, I am in complete agreement w/ Mindspin.  Dharma forever!

Mike,

Looking great bro.. It looks like you have been sticking with youre plan. I looked at the most recent pics the other day before I knew you where dieting and the results are obvious. You are getting leaner.Mindspin gives some good advice... Stick to what is working for you. Work on those forarms and legs..Also have you been doing cardio on the stair climber? I found when I did my cardio on the climber my calves greatly improved.

Good luck bro

Mindspin is the "Chad Nichols" of this board
(i will always listen to what he has to say)
my boy Larry (LLES) is the one guiding my brain dead ass into this show
what i have learned in a very short time is amazing
(posing,nutrition,being humble,weighing food,writing a daily food journal,restricting carbs,depleteing me etc etc)

and lovely Laura of course (cooking my chicken, training with me,giving me no BS assessment and advice
"your calves are non-existent!".....go deeper on those squats!!!u need legs!!!! etc)
if i could go back a year or 2 ago my advice would be ..."keep your mouth shut ignore the morons and use this board to learn!!!!.....pick Mindspins brain...jeffery's,Freaks,LLE'S....colossuss....bodyy8 BALD etc  etc"

it was easy to throw some weight around .......eat a lot ....get big/bulky

this however is  Hard
(seperates the men from the boys right?)

peace................... MIKE
