There is no way in hell that physicians go through all they do with nights, call, weekends, years of volunteer work, endless studying & tests, delayed pay, long stressful work weeks and have competed to be among the educated elite for $100,000/yr kc. That is ludicrous. By the way, it's 12 years of schooling post high school (I know 333 meant 8 years post college).
It's not about what is reasonable to live on, it is about compensation for talent, the service provided, complicated job, all the sacrifice. Some compensation is based on skill, take for instance a pro athlete. As a comparison, the vast majority of Americans don't have the ability to get through medical school & residency.
The average family doctor makes approx $140,000/yr. That's too little. Certain specialists may make too much, that I agree with.
