That is creepy, everytime there are multiple 16 year old boys running around, Basil is always there with his camera to take that 'free vacation picture'. I mean, If I was gonna use that gimmick, I would hang around 16 year old girls.

I have no doubt in my mind that he is a pedophile. Single, spends his time with young members of his gym, cruising the internet for pics of young guys, takes pics of shirtless twinks and puts them online etc.

Keith is like Uncle Getbig. He is also capable of being very cruel and  very funny - cruelly funny if you will. He can also take it back. I genuinely find myself caring for this dude. I truly hope he will get the weight off and get his health back, don't want a RIP thread. A few comments about what you posted, If you read what you posted Its all about other people, Grandkids, former flirts, friends you havent seen, I believe that will motive you a bit but Im gonna be honest with you and I DONT think that is whats gonna get you in shape, you really REALLY have to decide to do it for yourself and see all other things as a Bonus.

Another major tip is LOG EVERYTHING. What you eat, what you do in the gym, your weight, your measurements, reps, sets, etc etc.
A big strong guy liek yourself would probably initially think "logging stuff in the gym is for pussies" But Its not. Its a HUGE motivational booster.
And thats Exactly what You need.
Having your logbook besides you while training back and looking at what you did for back the last week is like having a partner beside you.

make a promise to yourself that Always improve. If you're just lifting heavier do one more rep at the set before the last set or something. Always improve. That way when you go to sleep at night you KNOW you have improved and you should feel better about yourself.

When something is hard your mind is villingly or unvilligly looking for excuses. Thats why all your combacks has ended up like they have. When you have a setback you woudl think "well maby I should rest then" "well maby this is my body telling me something" bla bla bla.

I can promise you Keith the setbacks you have had after your spider bite Isnt big enough setbacks REALLY to stop you from training/dieting. I dont even know your setbacks but I feel like if you really think about it Im right.

The only thing that can stop you from eating healthy if probably breaking your jaw in 5 different places and Im pretty sure that hasn't happened.




Another thing I wanna point out it that self entitlement can be both a Good thing and a fucking curse. In your mind right now its probably mostly a curse.
Right now when you look in the mirror you're not happy. But then your mind probably goes into safe mode and you start thinking back to what you have all the great experiences you have had in life which infact can make you think well "I have already done more in my lifetime your average 10 people combined will do in theirs why should I bust my ass and try to get back in shape?"
Thats once again your mind playing tricks on you.

And thats also a way for your mind to make ypu happy again, and push aside the reality of which you are facing TODAY.

A good challenge to you would be to train 2 weeks in the gym with absolutly Pussy weights. Just to make your mind stronger. Your mind WANTS to put on more weight. Prevent it.

You are good kid Swede.  You are right about doing this for myself.  I know since I don't feel good about myself I am not going to let others see me like this.  My problem has been the procrastinating and just not go out and do it like I did when I was younger.  I would get 25 pounds overweight before and get so fired up I would lose it in a week or so.  The most important thing you need is a goal.  no matter what.  now I have set one so I will go for it.  And the logbook thing is something I do with the diet and now the measurement.  Never had a logbook for training.  Don't need one for that.  For the first month or so just cardio and some leg work with abs and stretching.  Once I get my cardio endurance up I can train and do cardio.

Not safe mode but smart mode.  I have been going through this for 10 years now.  It has taken me this long to realize that me weight training just aggravates the injury.,  I have 30 years of weight training and 99% of that time was with heavy weights even when sick.  I am no way going to be able to lift light no matter what.  That discourages me than anything.  I would rather get my weight down and increase my endurance.  In fact even now I run out of gas just doing 5 or 6 exercises per workout cause I just don't have the endurance.  My right though very much larger than my left has muscle atrophy.  I have barely any strength in it so it makes it difficult to stand for long periods or walk.  i need to strengthen my legs and heart.  The weights can take a back seat right now.  I know I will feel better losing another 50 to 100 pounds and being a little weaker than being stronger but still way to fat.  Like I said my strength comes back very fast.  In less than a month I can get my bench back up to 405 if I can train harder.  And I can't train harder till I get my cardio up.  we will see
