Sleeping with my dog in the bed really isn't an option since she snores so badly I can barely sleep in the same house with her.   :D

Depends on the dog, Great Dane hell no chihuahua might be ok space is the key. How about cats? Anybody got that pic of Pumpster sleeping with the cat?

If you really get to know your dog, and love you dog, you will feel the same the way about it as if it was a child - the emotions are the same. The desire to care for it are the same. The desire to protect and defend them. The pleasure you get from seeing them, holding them. The grieving process if something were to happen to them - its all the same. If you disagree, then there truely is a problem with you and I pity your dog (and I pity you for not being able to truely feel the bond between man and dog).

Are you fucking stupid. Yes, dogs are unhygenic. They shit outside and usually kick up grass and dirt after they shit. They sniff and get their nose in all kinds of crap when they are outside. Nobody baths their dog daily, it wouldn't be good for the dogs skin. I had an english bulldog and she had a nice dog bed outside my room; outside because she snored loud as hell.
