I haven't read this whole thread yet but I remember a story Keith told..not sure if it was on the board or in an email but it was something about him and 3 other big guys that jumped in a Rabbit Convertible and drove it round and round this circle driveway or hotel parking lot or something and the weight of the 4 guys combined had the tires smoking.  

He said he was pretty sure there is a video of that somewhere but he didn't know where it was (or who had it?).  It would be great to see that vid

Had a few good times with Don.  This Gillette commercial we did was fun and he made it outrageous.  I have a great story when we were reading for a Dino DeLaurentis movie.  He was completely nuts.  He interviewed me over the phone when I was in Hawaii and was going to do a short article on me for some magazine he was writing for.  Years passed and stuff and then he died way to soon.  He really enjoyed life.

Keith was damn strong. In the press behind neck if you can do 225 from your shoulders you are strong. Keith and the Barbarian Bros regularly did 315 and occasionally went up to 405 for reps. That is superman territory.

Keith: Well we did shoulders more than anything.  315 seated BNP we did the most of.  At a place called "The Gym" back in 1991 or 92 or so we did go up to 405.  They always spotted each other no matter what.  Even if it was just a finger help.  I didn''t lie a spot for anything.  And I always start my BNP from bottom.  I did 2 no help at all with a spot for a third.  They would do 4 or 5 reps but helped a little on each rep.  We ususally stayed at 315 though.  Another thing we did was lateral raises startig at 60 or 70 and going down in weight 5 lbs at a time and raise the reps.  People thought we were fooling around when we got down to the 5 lb db's and doing them for 15 reps or so and barely being able to lift them.  I know it looked funny.  I never did legs with them and chest only a few times.  We did curls a couple times.  In Maui we did BB curls on the preacher bench.  I didn't do heavy db curls with them.  They were strong as hell.  And yes that B&W pic of them doing 365 BNP is good.  Pete G is watching them

Keith used to do strong man feats such as blowing up a hot water bottle. Some guys would 'treat' them first but putting them in an oven or something. I asked Keith about this feat.

No, I used to train at Skyland Health & Fitness but the owners were being shitty about fixing equipment.  The last straw was when the AC broke and the water was cut off in the building due to non-payment.  They fired the gym manager who was a friend of mine and tried to put everything on him for mismanagement which was a bunch of bullshit.
He decided to open up his own gym.No spas, saunas, juice bars, or crap like that.  Its basically a throwback to the classic gyms where it was all about pushing that iron.
He's got a lot of support including the folks from the city council and the police dept has already signed up their memberships.  I'm proud of the fact that he's doing things right and has put together a place where real lifters can go.  I've already cancelled my other membership and tommorrow I'll be walking in and training for my next show. 
Hardcore gyms are a dying breed folks.

Keith:  That place is far from hardcore.  Having no spa, saunas or juice bar doesn't make it hardcore.  That's the problem with guys like you, you have no idea what a hardcore gym is.  You weren't even born yet.  First off its the people who train there that make it hardcore.  Not providing some things and having dumbbells and barbells doesn't make it hardcore.  And more than likely the police are not paying for their memberships or they are discounted by at least 50%+.  How many sq ft is it.  By the way, having you train there automatically fucks up any potential of success.

Keith: I've owned two gyms both of them were sold and not closed down.  I can't consider opening a gym that size actually opening a gym.  He won't make his overhead in 3 months.  With a complete glass front the cold alone will force him to use his heater so much the bills will kill him.  He can't have more than a few hundred members max.  My gym in Kona got more members than that a day in it.   See Goodrum you have a very small mind so it doesn't take much to impress you.  And where is your gym you said you were opening with some investors.  You are so full of shit.  NO ONE would ever ever invest in you.  You have nothing to support anything you do.  I bet if you went to try and get a grant or loan and you use the "black card" they would tell you didn't qualify as a black.  Your ignorance (or his) is amazing.  You say he isn't having a juice bar or sell supplements or a spa.  These things make a gym money.  You think not having these make the gym hardcore.  You are a fucking moron

You have to understand that Keith suffered very bad health and maybe couldn't get a girlfriend when he was really fat. That would suck for a guy who used to be fit, muscular, healthy and popular. He still was popular with friends so he had a network of people who thought he was a nice guy. He was generous when he had money and was always trying to help others. No one can say he didn't have a sense of humour. The trouble on Getbig is that way too many pick on others and think it is funny and I guess Keith could be put in that category.

Benny, you might be underestimating it a bit.

And SURE! his bodywt was the major cause of his death but many who are smarter than myself and who know Keith even better than I do, have told me that that poisonous toxin from that little spider  was the principal cause of his obesity.

As I told Vince B in a private email, I never really believed that a spider bite could cause obesity but people much more intelligent than me within that field of expertise say that it is definitely possilbe.

Plus I can honestly say that Keith was not a huge eater. He wasn't a buffet kind of guy. But I did see his enjoyment of cookies on a few occasions which definitly didn't help him lose any weight.

I can also honestly say that he tried and had every intent to get back in shape but it didn't happen due to reasons beyond my comprehension. But it wasn't due to over-eathing.

Keith didn't leave much material possessions behind because he was always giving what he had to someone whom he felt needed it more  than he did.

And finally ..... I will be talking to Jaime about possible GetBig contributions. I'd feel better if she will talk to Ron about that personally. I think Ron's number is on Keith's Apple G-4 or whatever we call telephones nowadays.

To be honest with ay all I cannot tell you what caused Keith's death because there was no autopsy, but I believe obssity was a major factor and the major factor behind that obesity was a little spider.

Another friend of mine got bit by a Brown Recluse while he was pulling on his sweat pants about three years back.  Three days later he was almost dead but managed to survive with proper treatment somehow. I gotta ask him about that again.

Once again, I'll ask Jaime to call Ron.
