Nothin wrong with Smith machines or Hammer equip. All this "it's either free weights or you ain't trainin" stuff is nonsense. In some cases I prefer free weights over machines and vice versa. For chest I'll use Hammer incline, Smith flat, db inclines, db flies, pec deck, etc..... Now, if all you have is a bar and a bench you can make your chest grow, but you don't have to restrict yourself though. Just cause they didn't have this equipment in the "Arnold era" doens't mean they wouldn't have used it if it was. Those guys would've used every piece of equipment and every chemical in existance if it were available to them.
