I guess your right but let's do some numbers. I think statistic show about 9% of the population have gym memberships, that is 90 000 out of a population of a million, let's say 45 000 males maybe 5 can do 405 for 10 reps, that's 0.01%,... that is of the males that train or have trained at one point. If you take the entire population then it would be 5 out of a million, that's like 0.002%. doesn't matter how you slice it 1% doesn't fit in any scenerio ;)
i dont even think 5 in 45,000 average males could do 405 for 10, id say MAYBE 1 IN 100,000 or maybe even less, hell in 95 percent of gyms you wont see one legitmate 405 SINGLE in a year let alone 10 reps.

That was my point that its very few like less then 0.002% of the population maybe even less

Here in Texas I've seen lots of guys do 405 for atleast a rep!  I've spent some years in Colorado saw a few guys there hit 405.  Over the yrs I've witness a very few get 500 but I have seen it more than once. I've seen both Andy Haman and his training partner Big Mike rep 405 and Andy 500

while the 150s  are a good lift many times it is eaiser to bench these heavier dumbells then it would be a barbell of the same weight you lose a few lnches range of motion at the bottom with very large dumbells.   Your also able to put your hand in a more neutral grip to get in your optimal strength curve.  As far as 405 x10 there very few people walking the face of the planet can do that.  The odds of a male being able to bench 405 is about 1-10,000 so 315 x 10 would be similar there just isnt many people who can do such things it just seems like it because we spend lots of time around trained juiced up people. The problem with the 405 that makes it rare you required a certain amount of bodymass to achieve the lift thus knocking out 90% of the people just strictly on body weight.

Doing a 4 plate bench with your feet up for reps is impressive as hell Adrain. When it comes to numbers i find if you get 10 reps with 2 plates that equals 1 rep with 3 plates, then 10 with 3 will be 1 with 4,and so on.You usually find if you get 25-26 with 2 plates that is equal to a 4 plate for a single.

If all that pressing was from the same training routine, then its very impressive.

Adrian if you can knock out reps like that on incline barbell ... 315 for 15 is no problem

500 lbs is amazing weight/strenght for anyone,,let alone for someone ripped to shreds,,,not a thick/fat type with stubby arms in benchshirt and fucking chains.this guy is a beast build and strenght wise.

I was just making a point, 405 for reps is the top of the food chain, there's no way on earth to come up with an accurate percentage

Thanks- this video was shot on a Sunday- gym closed 8pm I started about 6:30pm after work.  This is a typical chest workout.  Ive been told that I do too many sets and over train.  But I only hit it this way once aweek sore about 4 days plenty of time to recover.

the chances of a male being able to bench 405 is around 1 -10,000 you have to consider not many 18< or <55 will do it so that knocks out damn near 5000 off the top.

There you have it....when Mike O'Hearn, Skip Laqueur, Chris Faildo, Jeff Willett, Adrain says he is telling the truth....you have to believe him.

I've never seen anyone bench 405. The numbers I see here make me think that either I train with weaklings or that them americunts are super strong.

I know personally only one guy who can bench more than 180kg with good form. Most bodybuilders I know can bench 160-210kg and those who can bench 210 are strongest and considered insane.

this video is fake, watch how easily he twists the bar while its still on the rack with the 605, a bar with that much weight would never be able to roll that easily in his hands.

This. I do 320-330 in a good form for 7-8 reps and half of the gym are staring from the corners (another half pretend not to care lol).. Keep in mind - gus who are posting on bb'ing boards are serious bodybuilders, that's a small percentage, even tho' it may seem that "many" guys who bench crazy amounts are everywhere, when you read these boards. Irl - just in the most hardcore gyms you could see a good number of guys who can go above 320, hell, even above 260 is good.
My gym on a "hardcoreness" scale is like 7, and I'm one of the strongest there amongst like 120people. So one could calculate approx. statistics when it comes to "regular gym goers".
As for "regular joes", not even worth talkin' about. general people doesn't even dream about these weights, they doesn't even imagine what it is to handle a mere 225lb above their chest.

exactly, i always say it but its amazing how many 600 pound benchers, 10 inch penises, multi million dollar salaries, black belts, etc. there are on the World Wide Web when you very rarely see it in real life.

I guess some of these pressers are these you see jerking the weight or going for a whole 5inch rom... But generally - yeah, it can cause one to seriously doubt oneself after reading some of the claims on the interwebz lol..
