Yes, I do. But right now there is a push to forgive student loans simply because they cannot be paid back, that leave us on the hook. Those loans eventually get paid back....by us. Do you feel thats right? Tbombs is obviously in a situation where his eye's are bigger than his head. He's getting into something he cannot afford and pretty soon something has to give....the student loan.

Oh brother, "there's a push" huh? A few petitions and some Occupy WS folk? Let me know when that happens  :D

Do you mean 'could not care less' and 'publicly!?' Coach? Has your account been hacked?    ;D

I absolutely did not say that. Quote me please.
i was failry you certain you had said that. the other night when laying in bed it occured to me that such an objection was inconsistant with what i knew about the effects of gravity on light..

i was failry certain that the warping of space time and light that passes through it was due to the gravitational effects of large bodies of mass. untill you said this. looked into, seems like i was correct.  mind expanding on your position or providing some sources that do?

^^^ looked into it some more... seems that gravity and the warping of space time are essentially two terms for the same exact thing..

nah the push to forgive student loans is economic common sense. educated individuals are much more productive and over the course of their life contribute much more tax revenue than uneducated individuals. free education makes fiscal sense.  my student loan is extremely small, tuition is a flat rate of 3k per 6 month term and since they allow me to work at my own pace and i transfered with about 70 credits ill be done with my bachelors in 1 or 2 terms. grad school costs 4k per 6 month term and thatll take 2 terms.  total cost of tuition only about 15k for a bachelors and masters.. and with an MBA ill be making good money.

Yes, but there is no gravitational force acting on the photon. It would have to have to have mass for that to happen.

Put simply: gravity warps space, and light passes through warped space. Not: huge gravity, so light bends toward it.

as i understand it, your wrong. if warped space is acting on something, gravity is acting on it, and vice versa. since the term ideas are , while different, essentially the same.  well, from what ive gathered, gravity is actually a misnomer. no such thing, says einstein.. massive objects dont pull you towards themselves, warped spaces pushes you there.

Wow. Grad school degrees used to be decided on scholarship, or some other merit...Now, it seems you can buy such a degree. I'll take a Nobel Prize, please.  ::)

BTW dudes the department of education is a big expense on taxpayers.

Xerzes shut up.

With a subsidized loan, the federal government absorbs the interest while a student is in college and six months afterward. If the CCRAA program is abolished, students would be responsible for the interest accumulated during the six months after they graduate.
With unsubsidized loans, students pay the interest that is built up during college and during the six-month grace period after graduation. The government uses a formula to determine a student's need and how much money they will receive with each type of loan. The formula includes factors like income, family size, number of people already in college and the family's assets.

whats really funny, the only people on this site who are actually intelligent and educated.. haider, lovemonkey, necrosis, wavelength.. they all actively engage in discussions with me..   yet the folks like you who dont have the slightest bit of insight to add on any substantial topic constantly deride me as if im some kind of retard.. this is not to insult you or to say im better than you, but to hopefully get you to take note of what im saying and to start doing a little bit of thinking of your own, instead of going through life worrying about the superficial things without any regard for meaningful ideas

The context of our discussion is whether photons have mass, and you presented this phenomena as evidence of it with the understanding that the Sun was 'pulling' (or pushing, whichever u prefer) hence causing a change in its trajectory.

What is actually happening is that light is moving through warped space, without feeling any gravitational force. If that was the case, then we would have photons revolving around the Sun.. and perhaps light never even reaching us because of the Sun's huge gravitational pull

Economic commonsense for who? Maybe for the freeloader who doesn't want to make the attempt to pay it back but for people who pay taxes it's just another tax burden. I can't believe I'm actually answering this from someone who makes no money but want's to high on the hog. Keep talking to me about "economic commonsense".

but there is no such thing as gravity ! there is only warped space ! however the idea that if gravity acts on something then it has mass is still relevant because interchange gravity (the old concept) with warped spae (the new and more accurate concept), and we still have a truth !  :)  your comment about light light orbiting the sun.. its moving way too fast and its mass is way to little for the warped space to cause it to go into orbit !

You are highly mistaken if you think that only those individuals are "intelligent" and "educated" my young friend.

Bay and I are both IVY league educated with multiple graduate degrees to boot.

I can also name well over 10 other guys on this site who are grad students and a handful who also have phd's.

you didnt even look at the website. western governors is an entirely non profit university founded by 13 governors who wanted to expand access to higher education. they have both regional and national accreditation, the same as gonzaga, brigham young, oregon state, and others. because the founders realized that there would be doubts about the quality of eductaion form an online university they went to enormous lengths to make sure the school is respected. the business school is advised by a coalition of major corporations who help create the education plan to better suit their needs for management employees. the teaching school is accredited by a national teachers organization that is highly respected. etc.

because you went to an ivy league school means no one else is intelligent or educated ?  ;D i know bay is a smart dude. you on the other hand.. i have seen some evidence your well informed on certain subjects but , and dont take this as a personal attack, ive yet to see any indication of deep thought or advanced analytical skills.  those guys i mentioned are seriously smart dudes deserving of respect.
