Not a huge fan of Slipknot or Stone Sour, but Corey Taylor can fucking sing. Probably has one of the best voices in modern metal IMHO. Deep, decent range, can push his voice into and out of overdrive/screaming easily and fluidly.

you're missing out on some incredible tunes, man.  Eddie is a great singer/songwriter...and mccready is out of this world on guitar.

Meatloaf is too Broadway for my taste. He sure can sing like a bat outta hell though.  I guess I like 2 out of 3 of his songs which ain't bad.

Lead singer of "The Baby's" and Christopher Cross.  Their voices sound like a combo of Jesus and Angels.

Steve Grimmett. Don't let the 80's mullet-extensions fool you. The man has an incredible set of pipes.

Tony Martin. Most underrated vocalist around and one of my all-time favorites.

Bob Dylan
Neil Young
Stevie Nicks
Jerry Garcia

In no particular order.
::)

Not sure if this is a joke, none of these are rock singers.

If that's the case:
Rob Halford (Judas Priest) Dude still has it.
Dio (Rainbow/Black Sabbath/Dio)
Geoff Tate (but Queensryche is horrible these days)
Jon Oliva (Savatage)
Midnight (Crimson Glory)
Ray Adler (Fates Warning)
What the hell, throw Ozzy in there, too. Dude still can rock.

P.S. Never even heard of Lost Horizon.

Lost horizon is the greatest thing ever, they make Hammerfall look and un-warriorlike! They used to be called Highlander and they're obsessed with immortality and battles and stuff, their lead singer (Ethereal Magnanimous?) was amazing before he quit.

If we're talking Greatest Rock Singer it has to be someone like Mercury, Plant, McCartney, someone big and iconic. For me I think of the old Wembley Stadium sold out, Freddie prancing around like a nutter kicking so much ass it's untrue and Brian May ripping it up like nobody's business. Steven Tyler and Axel Rose are also great and that Stadium-rock tradition.

If we're talking most galvanising battle-cries that the common man probably hasn't even heard of then these are two of my personal favourites.

Voice perhaps only bettered by this guy:
