Buying a new car in a few weeks and trying to decide between the 13 Ford Escape or the 12 CR V.  The new Escapes look great, better than the Honda Interior and Exterior, but leaning towards the CR V based on reliability.

Ya there is alot of difference racing at sea level, we have to change the complete nitrous tune up, and sometimes even take some first gear away, and then that changes the clutch set up, but you are right many do run their best. Have you ever been down by pensacola, a few years ago we raced there and the corrected altitude was 485 feet below sea level. everyone was burning their shit up. We had to replace a few pistons between rounds.

I have worked for a number of teams both adrl and nhra. Right now I work for a nitrous company whos nitrous systems are on many adrl pro mods, 10.5 and many outlaw cars, 275 radial cars, grudge cars and more. I often go racing with our customers to help them get their cars lined out. Then if they want me to keep going we work out a deal. But as of this time I am not with 1 specific team

I plan on going back on the road with a team when i figure out if I want to go nhra racing or back to adrl

Currently own a Corrola, Versa, and Accord. I loves me some economic vehicles.

In about two years I'll do some sports car shopping. Thinking something like an Lotus Exige or less sporty, but love the look, an Evora. If they brought the GTE Evoras state side I'd seriously consider one.

I hate how this thread rebounded and is now thriving. I'm having a hard enough time getting prepped to sell my Cobra.  :-\

Thanks bro!  Traded my well-worn 2007 Chrysler Sebring in for it, that car was so damn reliable but was so low on the road everyone sees you, and not cool when you're driving with a new girl.  In this truck, you do whatever, whenever!  :D

Currently have a Toyota Mark II Tourer V  (JZX100].  If you've ever played Gran Tourismo this car was on it.  For the import guys it has the 1JZGTE engine in it.

A pretty standard and basic sv650 a few years old costing 2k will do 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.

You need to spend 60+k to buy a car that can do that

No you don't, at least not in the U.S.

I think he is talking about a stock car, from the factory, with a warranty, interior, airbags, and doesn't look like it's been hacked up, with stock engine, and would last 100k-200k miles.
And would pass all emissions (gas, carbon, noise, etc).

One of the most reliable mid-sized, reasonably priced sedans on the market. Swap the timing belt, water pump at 100k miles(along with routine maintenance), and that thing will last 200K miles with no problems. I'm a Honda Fan too. 8)
Thanks man! I've always admired Termi's for the longest. So the moment I saw this one at a steal of a price, I bought a plane ticket and took delivery before the dealer's autotrader ad could hit 6hrs old online lol...Can't beat Honda!
