been taking supps. since 1981,over the years what i have found to work is a good protien powder, multi species are best, but a good whey does have its place, beverly and labrada seem to be the best around, quality liver tabs are good for adding extra protien when on a restricted diet,i use various preworkout drinks to jakk up my workouts, and creatine seems to help for strength, only noticed weight gain the first time i used it,also vitamins are good for what they are intended for,but healthy eating is more important for that.

I never understood the use of liver tabs. Yes, they contain some protein, vit B & iron, but there are more efficient ways to get these nutrients.

I used them in the past and their smell was bad, but it was just a matter of taking them with a large glass fruit juice. BTW, many supps smell horrible, fish oil is also disgusting.

Creatine did work for me in that I looked bigger and it got me harder....but the gains went away quick when I stopped using it and now it does nothing for me....Protein powder has been good for me but again I got the same results eating food.....

I remember believing Nitro-Tech's claims....didn't do shit.....and cell-tech used to burn my asshole every time I took a shit

I am convinced that the early creatine had something more than creatine in it.

Just imagine how many massages with happy endings you could have had for all the money spent on supps.

I remember MuscleMag pushing this crap in the 80's...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mumie (pronounced moo-mi-yo)
Mumie has been used in folk medicine for thousands of years, but became 'recognised' in Russia in 1910, when it was used as a performance enhancer for their armed forces as it is supposed to have an anabolic physical and mental effect. Mumie is found in rare plants which only grow in specific temperate zones of Russia and is rich in vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll and tribulus saponins. It was fashionable in bodybuilding mags in the 1980s and mumie can still be purchased today, but you rarely hear of it. Doses of 150mg three times per day were recommended which would improve recovery by 30%. Although there have been studies, these are very poor in design and anecdotally no one recommends it.

Haha remember that one. Because they even made clear how to pronounce it, it had to be serious business, right ?   ;D

I tried that craze stuff last night around 7pm....used two scoops instead of one...I was up until 4 am and got 45 minutes of sleep.   Reminded me of the ADD drugs I scammed a few years ago.

I love the stuff. Tried it for the first time and bought a second jug the next day. I dread the day it gets banned.
