I did have some 8 X 10 photos I printed so here is one that I used Gigapixel AI to enlarge. Then I reduced it to fit on Getbig. Ron could help by increasing the file size for photos here.

To all those who weren't at the 1980 Olympia but figure they know who should have won etc., please look at this photo of the first call out at the judging.

Look at the expression on Arnold's face! It clearly shows a guy who felt - at that moment - that he made a big mistake entering that year. When Arnold was called out

afterwards his attitude changed to one of confidence. The rest is history.

In the lineup are Roger, Mike, Frank and Dennis. Danny Padilla probably had the best all round physique in the contest but was never compared in the call outs.

Talk about evolution . They all look like the ideal physique .

You’re reading a lot into Arnold’s facial expression from a split second photo.
So What do The Faces of the Other Competitors Say ??
Looks like they’re all thinking the same as Arnold Then.

You were there that day - Who did you have in the Top 6 places
And what order ??

His legs were never weak. Not at the beginning of his career or his last show.

I believe Arnold held his own in that contest, but this picture shows how lacking his back thickness, Ahmet Enunlu critized Mentzer for lack of back detail, but here Arnold is looking even worse, or is he just trying to spread his back by pushing his shoulder blades?
