He does have a reason to lie but I can't presume he is lying about what happened that night. If I do that I'm not giving him his rightful shot at justice. Career criminals have been brought to trial for crimes they didnt committ. If the jury had just assume they were guilty because of their previous history those men would have been convicted, some to death.
so you agree he has a reason to lie (and I assume you agree he has a history of lying) yet you don't want to presume he might be lying?

I hope he waddles his fat ass up and takes the stand but I doubt his lawyers will let him do that
So, all we can do is dissect his statement and evaluate it in light of other statements and in light of Zimmermans past history of lying
What we do know is that Zimmerman followed Martin, had an altercation (and at one point Martin was on top of him) and shot him to death
That's probably all we will ever know about this
