Better than Romo:
P. Manning
Brees
Rodgers
Brady

About the same:
Roethlisberger
Rivers

Worse:
E. Manning
Luck
Ryan
Wilson
Stafford
Newton
Kaepernick
Flacco

Questions?

You have Tony Homo equal to Philip Rivers.....but better than E. Manning, Luck, and Ryan.....who are all head and shoulders better than Rivers.

You're dumb.....

If you don't think Andrew Luck is a better QB than Tony Romo (now and in the future) you're at a "Coach is Back" level of stupid.

Nope. Explain how he's better? Hasn't been in the league that long? What has luck done?

Luck still has time to improve and we'll see in the long run

In the mean time luck isn't better than romo

U are a dumb shit!

Aren't u a paki too?? Rest my case  :D

Go ahead and explain why they're worse....."because I said so" is not an acceptable answer.

Because you're hanging your hat on Philip Rivers now, and I don't remember him winning anything of note.

Masterful rebuttal ::)

To answer your question, over 8 seasons as a starter, Rivers has a completion percentage of 64.4%, 7.9 YPA, 96.0 QB rating, and a 2.2 TD/int ratio.  None of the three you mentioned approach these numbers.

Is that easy enough for you to understand?

Eli Manning is not better then Philip Rivers.

Luck is not either currently. They make a big deal about his comebacks (which he does do so I'll give him that), but often he is the cause of them being down so much to begin with. He eventually might live up to all of the hype about him but hasn't so far, imo with his actual play yet.

Rivers is really, really good.

Manning leads Rivers in total yards (35,345 to 32,369)

Touchdowns (229 to 221)

Wins (85 to 79)

Of course Superbowls (2 to 0)

Lets also not forget the Superbowl MVPs (2 to 0)

Who is it again that leads all active quarterbacks in fourth quarter comebacks - Oh yeah Eli?

I'll take a strong, winning leader over a QB rating wonder anytime.

I was just watching a show on TV about Tony Romo and his mega-contract. They showed his career Win/Loss record, TD to interception ratio, game winning drives, and some other stats. Now....admittedly I'm not as learned a football fan as many of you are.....but what the fuck has this guy done to deserve that kind of salary and the accolades he receives?

Am I missing something here? He's not even in the top 5 QBs in the league?

Manning has played about a season and a half more, though, and has almost 70 more interceptions.

The only argument he has is the super bowls which doesn't make up for the often average to below average seasons he has had amongst those. I prefer to also watch the game as well and Rivers, to me, looks much better overall/steady throughout his career. Manning just seems so up and down and got on a couple streaks for those super bowls which I guess you can't really argue with that if you base your arguments on simply super bowls only.

Manning played more because he was good enough to start as a rookie and Rivers wasn't....they came out of the same draft didn't they?

Two Superbowl winning drives >>>>>> steady.

Yes, and Eli has thrown 70 more interceptions in that timespan as well.  That's about 9 more interceptions per season.....quite a bit.

Sure, Eli has more yards but he needed about 900 more attempts to get there.  Doesn't help your case.

Touchdowns, sure, I'll concede that, but I'd rather have a QB that doesn't turn the ball over.

For his career, Eli has 58.5 comp%, 7.1 YPA, 81.2 qb rating, and a td/int ratio of 1.3....these are all way worse than Rivers.

I don't know where you're getting your info but P. Manning & Brady both have more comebacks than Eli.

Praytell, how does one quantify a "strong, winning leader"?  Or is this just the feeling you get when you look at Eli?  :D

Peyton does a lot more than not turn the ball over.

You've strayed from your argument.....Philip Rivers is a very good QB, better than Toni Homo, you've proven that in a backwards way.
