I can't really put too much info out as I have a cyber stalker that authorities here are investigating. When they target my family and try to hurt and harm them I take this seriously. Anyway to contribute here's a few tid tads about myself. Age 43 star sign is Scorpio. Fav colour is green. Fav food is Italian and seafoods. I love experiencing foods from different cultures and countries but I must admit that I had the opportunity to try frogs legs in Zurich and I passed. Fav city is New York. I love travelling and I don't mind getting lost somewhere new as I see it as an adventure. I hate rain however I love the snow. No tattoos, I like nice skin and think ink ruins physiques. Places I want to experience and visit before I die are Vienna, Moskow, Odessa, Chicago, Africa and Du Bai.
you are a nice woman karen and Frogs legs? think i would pass on that too... ;D I will cook you Haggis if we ever meet ;)

Well hopefully this lets me off the hook. Politically speaking as a Democrat, I am mostly a liberal. While I think I am fairly conservative about spending money, I am no miser. For one thing, I don't have enough money to bother sitting around counting it all day or hoarding it either, although I do have savings and investment accounts. Sometimes I realize I am being prejudiced....and then I catch myself and remember my motto, which is to give people a reputation to live up to and not judge them for things I don't really know about or understand. I think I am a fairly classy person, but I am not stuck up at all. I have been known to cuss on the odd occasion.  ;)
Jay you are a fine fellow.. i do not dislike rich people because i know people who have worked hard and deserve what they have. I just find with wealth.. politics are not far behind. I train some wealthy people and they are always very nice to me. i will give an example of Conservative, double standards. We had a young couple come to us for help because of trouble with a landlord. they rented a house and had 2 small children. The nice rich old couple who owned the House had a disagreement and they cut the power off and heating in winter. Now these good Celle Conservatives CDU party are also bible Bashers and are in Church on sundays being good citizens but they really are not good Christians. we have a lawyer who works with us and so we made sure this nice old couple got some post and we took them to court. was good to see justice being served. I mean i have nothing against churches and religion as my wife is very religious and my Father in law has tried to convert me for years... ;D think iīm a lost cause Jay... but i think you get my point. regarding politics in the US i canīt say i understand it all. So maybe i can learn this from you Jay. Maybe one Day we will all meet who knows..eat a meal together. Jpm101 you are more than wellcome here, lets not try to stand on each others toes OK.

I believe we have similar views about people. Just so you know, my wife and I are not rich in terms of financial wealth, but we do OK.

The "nice" old couple you wrote about deserved to be fined and perhaps even given some time in jail to think about what they did. It was not "nice" of them at all, in fact it was criminal.

I have some friends who purport to be "good Christians" whatever that means. Sometimes they seem to forget this quote from the bible: Luke 6:31 "Do to others as you would have them do to you." http://bible.cc/luke/6-31.htm

Like you, I am not tied to any particular religion. My wife is Catholic. We were married in the Catholic church. Our children and grandchildren were baptized in the Catholic church. I never converted because I don't agree with some of the Catholic teachings. My wife is fine with this. Our daughter claims she is agnostic. Of all of our family, I suspect our son and his wife are the most devout Catholics, but then the Catholic church is about a block from their home in Uettingen.

It would be excellent if we could meet someday. Our son and his wife are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this summer in Uettingen. Unfortunately, we will not be attending the celebration, due to my wife's poor health. Otherwise, we could have met up this summer while we were in Germany.

Attitudes here seem to be changing when it comes to tattoos and piercings. It used to be that baristas at Starbucks had to cover their tattoos and any facial piercings. This appears to not be the case anymore. I don't understand why some folks still seem to have a problem with tattoos and piercings, it is just a way of expressing oneself as an individual. Of course some tattoos, such as those considered racist or gang related, are understandably offensive to some people.

If you were a trainer at Nautilus Plus in Oregon City, there would be no issue with you having full sleeve tattoos. Tattoos are quite commonplace at the gym among many of the patrons and some of the staff.

Like Karen, I am devoid of any tattoos. When I was young, getting tattooed had a very negative context. By the time tattoos became acceptable, I was past the point of wanting them, although there a some guys I know who are my age who have the occasional tattoo, most of them got them while they were in the military. I did not serve in the military.

Awhile ago, I saw some long sleeve T-shirts which were printed to look like tattoos. It would be funny if you could find one of these and wear it to cover your real tattoos. http://funcfash.com/2009/08/be-hardcore-with-tattoo-sleeves-and-shirts/

nice,,i filled 2 barrels and 1 bag of fresh cut lawn,i use lawn doctor for those who use something similar in there area or country,,they basically weed and control with right chemicals your lawn to get green, maintain it,,,i cut it myself,,it looks like a thick green carpet minimal weed if any,,,it took me yrs to get it like this,,,i was very jealous of my neighbors ,,,now i have one of the best lawns...

I have been using the mulching feature on the new lawnmower I bought this spring. I think it has improved how the grass looks. The clippings fertilize the lawn each time I cut it, which is twice a week. Attached are some photos I took of the lawn the other day. As you will notice, my neighbor's lawns look good as well.

jay nice home/property...

Thanks. We often refer to our home and the other homes in the neighborhood as Brady Bunch houses because they were built in the late 70's. This is not considered a time of great architecture. Our home is no exception. There is a ton of wood in the structure though because much of the living spaces inside are not only open to each other, but with vaulted ceilings, some reaching 22 ft.

Since living here, we have made a number of improvements, like all new windows, appliances, raising the roof in the upstairs bedroom for more functional ceiling height, new furnace, having the backyard landscaped after removing about a dozen large trees which made it seem like we were living in a forest. Although we put in new wool wall to wall carpeting a dozen years ago, it is now worn and needs to be replaced. We would like to replace it with hardwood floors in the main living areas at least.

I need to repaint the exterior, but I cannot decide on a color combination. Although green is an OK color, I don't think it does much for our home.

Yesterday, I decided to start back with my old routine of working one muscle group per day, so here goes:

Monday:

Seated alternate dumbbell curls, 4X10-6
Triceps cable pushdown, 4X10-8
Easy curl bar cable curls 3X10-6
Triceps overhead press 3X10-6
Multi-bicep machine 3X12-8
Triceps press-down (mimics dips) 3X12-8
Wrist curls 3X15-10
Reverse easy curl bar cable curls 3X10-6

No cardio this week. I did tan though after the workout. My arms are sore, but not too sore.

PrimeMuscle:  Congrats on your renewed efforts.

Not a dis by any means:  Just might suggest that doing 26 total sets for arm work may prove to be counterproductive in the long (or even short) run. Even for most young guy's in their 20's, this might prove to be way too much...even at once a week. But as a  68 year old man, perhaps enthusiasm  has overtaken a practical approach to  common  sense training.

Dropping 18 to 20 sets, from a arm program like that, may produce better results. But if you find a arm program like that rewarding for you, and you do know your own body better than most, than good for you. Good Luck.
F
