yeah gossip board could really get u in hot water,,i read that thread u did not come off so bad,,that'boy'is something else ,I will leave it at that,,your looked at here this thread as A POSITIVE POSTER,,,yeah I have pretty small joints which helps in illusion of bigger size, leg wise tho u can see from rear hamstrings how big my legs are they look like a 'horse'leg lol,,,

Do you have trouble finding trousers that fit?

All my joints aren't small, just my ankles for some reason. My wrists measure 9" in circumference. I have to buy extra large watch bands. My ring finger is a size 13 or 14 which is huge and that's not because of arthritis. They have always been this big. I had to pay extra for my wedding band when we first bought our rings. Fortunately, my fingers are also long so they don't look like bear paws. LOL. The fact that my legs are comparatively short given the length of my torso and arms, one would think they'd be really thick, but they aren't. I always wished that they were. I remember once getting my quads up to 27" and thinking I was "the shit" because of this.

Taylor is fucked up! He's just a kid though despite being 24 years old. Hopefully, he will out grow this nonsense. I think he needs help. He seems to have some serious issues going on. Sometimes it seems as if a lot of young folks are taking much longer to mature than they once did. Of course, this could have something to do with parents who don't teach them to be responsible people. Fortunately, our kids were independent and responsible adults by the time they were Taylor's age.

hey guys......hope all is well.

just wanted to let you all know that i just returned from california........traine d at the mecca.....ate at the firehouse and saw many bbers and spoke with ironman magazine's jerry brainum........also talked with cormier, strydom, charles glass and world harris.....all good blokes.

jerry brainum and i talked about the old days at the original gold's gym........jerry was great.....he told me that zane would take very short workouts in the offseason.......just a few sets and then leave the gym......but when he was training for the olympia, he would increase his sets and really focus on training......he said zane was incredible in person......pics don't do the guy justice......jerry said that if you think zane look hard and in shape in photos.....you should have seen him in person!

he also said that the guys from the 70s trained with more moderate poundages and more emphasis on mind/muscle connection.

the mecca was busy......still a lot of enthusiasm there and without a doubt the best equipment around.

as always....you can get some excellent bbing food at the firehouse.

strydom was looking big and lean......he mentioned competing in the next masters show.......he told me he is 54 but he could pass for 45.

all in all.....fantastic trip and great to swim in the ocean and enjoy the california weather.

guys.....if you haven't been to gold's venice......you must get there!!!

What makes me the most envious of your trip is not you visiting Gold's Gym in Venice Beach, it is your swimming in the ocean. I have years and years of fond memories of both Venice and State Beach. The warm sun and the mild temperature of the southern Pacific Ocean is just a distant memory these days, one which I could easily embrace again. When I was 18 years old, I moved to Santa Monica and lived one block from the ocean. That was the life!

Nope. But I did occasionally watch the folks who trained out front on the beach. I trained at a Vic Tanny's for awhile. Mostly I trained with my mentor and friend Walt in his home gym which he'd set up in his garage. My wife and I belonged to the Beverly Hills Health Club where I trained and she did something, not too sure what.  :-\

It depends.  I love the sun and the sand but when its so hot in summer that you can't walk on the sand or go out between the hours of 8am -5pm then its not so lucky to live here.  The winter and spring seasons are the best if you want to enjoy the sun and sand/beaches.  My besties daughter caught a baby croc at school the other day.  Apparently she looked out the classroom and saw it in the school grounds.  I would post a pic but I don't want some asshole coming in here and taking the pic and posting it in gossip and opinions.  I will post it on my facebook for my facebook friends on here.

I am not back really, until I start posting up my training logs.  To be honest, haven't trained this week.  I have had awful pms which means an incredibly swollen and sore tummy.  I had to even hold my tummy while I bent over to put groceries into my shopping trolly.  Now I have my period and I feel very depressed.

And to think some very confused men think they were born women!

There have been three women in my life with who I have some concept of what being a woman entails and it ain't no picnic. My mom had hormonal issues for years after I was born which negatively affected her menstrual cycles and her mood. My wife went through early menopause right after our daughter was born when my wife was only 34 years old. This resulted in gestational diabetes which has destroyed her health.  My daughter inherited my wife's female issues. She had cystic ovarian disease which ended up with her having a hysterectomy before she was in her mid thirties. Currently, she is carefully monitoring her diet because she is a prime candidate for type II diabetes.  And no, she is not obese.

Being a woman is no picnic. Being a man has it's issues too.

My unprofessional assessment is that regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, if you take up exercise, your health and wellbeing will be the better for it.

Monday - Triceps, Biceps and Forearms:

Seated alternate dumbbell curls, 4X12-6 @ 22.5 to 40lbs
Cable triceps press downs, 4X12-8 @ 104 to 145
Standing cable EZ curls, 4X12-6 @ 77 to 118
Seated dumbbell triceps extensions, 3X10-8 @ 40 to 60
Nautilus multi biceps, 3X13-9 @ 55 to 75
Nautilus seated parallel triceps press downs, 3X15-10 @ 100 to 120 (similar movement to dips)
Nautilus wrist curls, 3X12-8 @ 70 to 90
Cable reverse EZ curls, 3X10-6 @ 64-91
Standing cable biceps pulls, 2X12-10 @ 22 to 37 each side

Ended up with a good pump and I could actually see that I have biceps. This is why I like the standing cable biceps curls.

I LIKE CABLE CURLS BOTTOM UP OR SIGLE ARM BOTTOM UP,I HATE THE VERSION I GET NOTHING FROM THEM WHEN U STAND AND STRETCH ARMS APART AND THEN PULL CABLES IN LIKE YOUR DOING A FDB POSE,,

How many of these sets were to failure Prime? Not being a ass but looks you are just doing a bunch sets what does that do = nothing. Why not do 100 on each exercise. You have to go to failure to progress there is no way you went to failure on all those sets maybe you just like training. I know you are older so maybe just the exercise is the reason not sure. But props for still training at your age.

Good point. The answer is none. I train alone, so going to failure might present a problem. My self defense is that I do train to near failure on some exercises. The fact is that this is only week three of me actually working out again after a long dry spell. I am still trying to get my "sea legs," as it were.

I have already modified this workout to include more sets and reps then it calls for. I done this routine before with low reps and high resistance with decent results for building mass in some areas. Currently I weigh around 208 @ 5'10.5". There is too much fat on my middle and elsewhere. More than anything, I lack definition. I eat healthy without being obsessive about it. Cardio bores me to tears. I'd run outside now that the weather is good, but whenever I run, I seem to end up with injuries so, I have stopped doing that.

I know, I know, this seems like I am just making a lot of fucking excuses and maybe I am. My main goal right now is to get back into a routine where training is a part of my daily life. I do want results but more than that, I just want to be hitting the gym each day instead of vegetating at home. I have no plans to enter a senior bodybuilding contest anytime soon.  ;D

Thanks for the feedback. It's all good stuff and I really appreciate it.

Sorry Prime I wasn't being critical but just asking a question. I commend you on continuing training at your age and still in decent shape. I hate cardio as well lucky for me I have high metabolism so I never needed much of that just diet, before contests I just would fast walk in a park about 3 times a week it worked for me. I have only used a treadmill like twice in my life hated it. Continue the work man.
