I haven't tried alcohol free wine, so I have no idea of how good or bad it tastes or how much it costs. If I were a teetotaler, which I am not, I would go with grape juice and green tea. Actually, I do drink a fair quantity of green tea, not necessarily because it is supposed to be good for you, but simply because I like it. Unfortunately, I add sugar to my tea. Hey.....no one is perfect!
Where is "over here" at anyway?
A 'teetotaler'.. I've never read this word before, nice one! (thx Google Translate) I'm not a teetotaler either, but I'm pretty sensitive to alcohol. I only drink it when there's a place to sleep. The price of alcohol-free wine is prob high due its limited supply and demand, and the production process. Beer however, is a different story, but I'm not really into beer, other than a few labels.
Some time ago, I bought pure green tea powder, since it's much cheaper than capsules, but never again. It tastes awful and it's like glue, combined with water.
Maybe you can add some honey instead of sugar? They're still fast carbs, but it's good for your immune system (
reference).
'Over here' means the Netherlands, so no Costco, Whole Foods or Gold's gym chains
