Worked delt and triceps today. Staying with one set to failure for now. Right shoulder just feels destroyed. It makes pop corn noise along with the pain.
Press behind neck 1 x 8 (had to warm up a lot.)
Dumbbell press 1 x 9 (I went all the way down. No upper arm parallel to the floor half presses)
Dumbbell laterals 1 x 14
Single arm d ring pulley lateral 1 x 12
Rear delt laterals 1 x 15
Barbell shrugs 1 x 12
Weighted dips 1 x 9 ( went really deep stretching everything. Used a 25lbs plate. Could have used a lot more if I went shallow.)
Traditional straight bar pushdowns 1 x 15
Rope pushdows 1 x 15
Reverse D ring pulley tricep 1 x 14
weighted crunches feet on a bench 1 x 50
Pulley crunches 1 x 35 ( I sit reverse in a lat pull down machine. Using a V bar I do seated crunches. Very effective movement.)
Just a little rant. Doing laundry waiting for a break before I head to the beach board walk for a run. It's so damn hot out. Never feared heat exhaustion in my younger years but I know I'm playing with fire at my age. Just been hearing a lot about in shape guys I use to work with who are in their 40's, 50's and 60's dropping dead working out lately. I know of 4 in the past 5 years. One played division I basketball and was in his 40's. He went for a run on the board walk and dropped dead. Another went for a run during a lunch break at work and no one could find him. He was found dead on a running trail. Another retired guy became the local high school football coach. He died in the weight room. The last every always talked about what fantastic shape the guy was in. Looked like an Adonis and he had a fatal heart attack. I know exercise has helped more people avoid a heart attack than it has caused. It's the number one killer of man. If bodybuilders could show off their heart muscle they would train it like crazy instead of walking slow at a zombie pace on a treadmill. Wish me luck in this 90 degree pure sun day here.
