Believe me Donny I rarely work out with HIT one set anymore. It's just trying to fit it in with running for now. Next week I might change it up.

Just finished this back workout. One set to failure. The reps is number I failed.

Power cleans 3 x 3 reps ( On last rep I jerked it over head)
Dead lifts 1 x 8
Pull ups 1 x max
Low V grip cable  1 x 14
Single dumbbell row off bench 1 x 14
Reverse grip pulldowns 1 x 12
Stiff leg deadlifts off a block 1 x 7
Weighted hyper extensions 1 x 17
weighted crunches 1 x 54

Dripping in sweat waiting to cool off before I go for a 2 mile run in this 90 degree plus heat.

I not positive about this because I too live in a fairly cool climate, but I imagine that eventually our body's adapt to whatever climate were in .

if it works for you. Would be hard for me to just do 1 set even though you're using high intensity. Each to his own... ;D

Going to do some casual laps in my pool now that the weight and running work out is over. I'm the worse swimmer on earth. I expend so much energy to do a couple of laps. Wish I was a smooth swimmer.

Heavy bag that I think contributed to my bad shoulder. I do pull ups here too. That treadmill is my broken TRUE brand treadmill. I miss it. Best treadmill I ever had. I will fix it soon.

I have 80 to 100 fixed dumbbells. The lighter ones I make on a table with spin lock collars. I actually can make a 110lbs one but at my age I have no use for it.

My current treadmill is a Sole. No where near the quality of my True but it works. Currently I only use the treadmill for once a week intervals. I live near the shore and there are just to many great boardwalks to run on now filled with bikini women strolling the boards.

My squat racks. Those bumper plates are 55lbs each. When I Olympic lift they are so thick they will bounce if dropped. I have enough bumper plates for the limited Olympic lifts I do. I either power clean or use the old fashion split technique. I never in my life could do a squat snatch.  The split gives me all the athletic attributes of the Olympic lift.

The drums are my son's. When he plays conversation stops and you might as well turn off the tv. It's so damn loud!!!

Steve your Tricep workout is a killer because of the the chest workout before it. Dips at the end ? really solid. Even though itīs machine Dips still good. I do my Basic Exercises first, i think you do the opposite doing Dips at the end using assisting muscle Groups to fully punish your pushing muscles.

Worked delt and triceps today. Staying with one set to failure for now. Right shoulder just feels destroyed. It makes pop corn noise along with the pain.

Press behind neck 1 x 8 (had to warm up a lot.)
Dumbbell press 1 x 9 (I went all the way down. No upper arm parallel to the floor half presses)
Dumbbell laterals 1 x 14
Single arm d ring pulley lateral 1 x 12
Rear delt laterals 1 x 15
Barbell shrugs 1 x 12

Weighted dips 1 x 9 ( went really deep stretching everything. Used a 25lbs plate. Could have used a lot more if I went shallow.)
Traditional straight bar pushdowns 1 x 15
Rope pushdows 1 x 15
Reverse D ring pulley tricep 1 x 14

weighted crunches feet on a bench 1 x 50
Pulley crunches 1 x 35 ( I sit reverse in a lat pull down machine. Using a V bar I do seated crunches. Very effective movement.)

Just a little rant. Doing laundry waiting for a break before I head to the beach board walk for a run. It's so damn hot out. Never feared heat exhaustion in my younger years but I know I'm playing with fire at my age. Just been hearing a lot about in shape guys I use to work with who are in their 40's, 50's and 60's dropping dead working out lately. I know of 4 in the past 5 years. One played division I basketball and was in his 40's. He went for a run on the board walk and dropped dead. Another went for a run during a lunch break at work and no one could find him. He was found dead on a running trail. Another retired guy became the local high school football coach. He died in the weight room. The last every always talked about what fantastic shape the guy was in. Looked like an Adonis and he had a fatal heart attack. I know exercise has helped more people avoid a heart attack than it has caused.  It's the number one killer of man. If bodybuilders could show off their heart muscle they would train it like crazy instead of walking slow at a zombie pace on a treadmill. Wish me luck in this 90 degree pure sun day here.
