Yup.  ;D  I supposedly have sleep apnea and for years on end (family claims I stop breathing for up to 1.5 minutes at a time) I pretty much average about 2 hours of sleep a night.  I get up at 1 or so and do my leg PT in my little home gym and then head into work to do the rest and then take a shower and get to the task at hand.

You should be using a CPAP. Sleep apnea is nothing to scoff at.

Today we have a nice cool wind so itīs perfect to go running. I love the wind in my face. One thing no one writes about is Stretching. Does anyone do much of it ? i still like to do a few Basic stretches to keep my shoulders, lower Back/ Hamstrings from feeling tight. Have to admit shoulder flexibility has never been outstanding. Lifts like Pullovers and stiff legged Deads do have a good bit of stretch in their too. The BB pullovers iīm doing regular now do help my shoulder Mobility.

towel disclocation exercise is good. Can also use a band or even a stick.

A band is better since it adds some force. Buy a light (red) pair for less then $20 and you have a great training accessory!

I am awaiting my turn at the test to decide if I really have the problem.  If so, I will have to save up and get the thing which I believe is around two grand..  A co-worker has one and says it helps him a lot.  Hopefully it will do the same for me.  Until then, roughly two hours a night!  Yippeeeeee... ;D

Tomorrow I think I will go back to this schedule of training:

Back and chest one day then shoulders and arms the next.  Rest a day and repeat.   ;D

I am lazy when it comes to taking time to stretch. My daughter has been taking a class in yoga. She thinks I should try it.

I was diagnosed with sleep apnea last year. A surgeon simply melted away the thick knobs at the end of my nostril and it was fixed.

Melting away nostril knobs sounds anything but simple. Glad to read that it took care of the problem though.

I really neglected stretching for a long time. I had a long recurring problem with straining and tearing my calf when I run. I finally did a simple leaning calf stretch and found it was really tight. So far the calf hasn't given me any trouble. Trying to stretch more for everything now.

On another note I went on a 4 hour kayak trip through the Pine Barrens today. The pine barrens is a huge wilderness section of NJ that is really unique in the region. Pretty isolated area. Feels like your in a Deliverance movie. Long story short. We go over a little water fall by a little bridge. Couldn't have been 2 feet. My wife's kayak flips over. She is clueless on what to do. The water is only about 4 to 5 feet deep and it's not really a hard current. I beach my kayak and start to walk to her. What I didn't know is by bridge they dumped construction debris consisting of boulders. Every part of the river is a sand bottom except for this area. I can't see through the water to see the bottom. I start walking not knowing I'm on slippery boulders stepping from boulder to boulder. I slip in between boulders. I'm a bloody mess slamming my shin. The water around me turns red from blood. Since we are in the middle of no where I tell my family let's finish the trip. Didn't want to ruin every bodies good time. What I didn't know is how hard I hit the bone. I thought I just got cut. After being in the water for hours with my leg bleeding from the gash I didn't think it was anything to worry about. Eventually a doc stitched me up and gave me anti biotics. Now the bone is throbbing.  Wonder she should have done an Xray to see if I cracked it?

Oh yes, it was. It's like putting a very hot finger in your nostril ;)
They simply anesthetized it locally, done in a few minutes.
I was a little dizzy after this (low blood glucose), but that's normal.
Since that day I'm capable to utilize the full capacity of my lungs, a special feeling :)
